Elemental Master has a great soundtrack, like a lot of the other Technosoft MD games. I've been after a copy for a while, actually.

I picked up a repro of Gleylancer with a Euro style blue cover. This is one of the few MD shooters I had never played before but I'm glad I have now as it is a corker. Decent visuals and surprisingly good audio with an interesting weapons system that you need to chose and stick with at the start of the game. I'm well impressed but if I had a complaint it would be that I would like a speed setting for the ship somewhere between 3 and 4. That would be spot on.
I have also been playing Devastator on the Mega-CD. After the typically grainy FMV intro I was amazed at the frankly terrible graphics on the opening level. And the sheer lack of animation on your mecha is almost criminal. But having said that it is actually quite a fun game. The pace is good and the difficulty picks up nicely. For all that your mecha looks clunky it does control well. Yet another game that makes no use of the Mega-CD apart from some token sprite scaling and redbook audio.

Just got a Super Famicom and a great selection of games. Put Yoshi's Island on last night and played it for 2 hours straight. Platform heaven. It passed me by back in the day as I was probably more into the newly launched Saturn at the time, and while I have owned it since I never connected with it like i did last night. Control is perfection, it looks drop dead stunning, and I love combing the levels for every last secret. A cracking start to a long overdue reunion with my fave console ever.

Still got my original suikoden save with all 108 stars of destiny ready for it when I do. Gonna ask the misses for it for my birthday in December. The original suikoden is still my favorite RPG of all time, playing that as a 13 yr old a story of fantasy, heroism and friendship was really something. I have since played suikoden V which i thought was boring and gave up and suikoden telekris or what ever its called on the DS, again boring and gave up.

Finally got round to completing FF7 for the umpteenth time, although this run I wanted to beat the weapons as god intended (without KOTR :P) and beat emerald while on the toilet with nothing but Demi and some megalixers, and then took care of ruby with double cut and my mega sourced up Cloud. Can now finally play something that isn't FF7 on my PSP.Last edited by tokyochojin; 23-11-2011, 23:06.

Haha, cheers mate. Tbh, it wasn’t as difficult as I imagined thanks to morphing a few sources from the sunken gelinka, and making sure to go and get the W-item materia first. Every time I play through the game though I think that it's still a shame how weak Sephiroth is comparatively seeing as he is a self-proclaimed demi-god.
Moved on to De La Jet Set Radio now on the Dreamcast, still blown away at how great the game looks and with a few control tweaks here and there, how it would make an awesome PSN or Live game.

I recently bought a PAL SNES bundle locally because it had a boxed copy of Sunset Riders included. Still a great game - though the last couple of levels were hard as nails. Ended up cheating a little bit by pressing start on Player 2's side and using him as a bullet sponge while I laid into the bosses.
Also grabbed a Cybernator cart on the market for ?4. I remember having the game at least once or twice during my SNES days but I never got into it. I don't think I was old enough to appreciate the weighty controls and the frequent interruptions for chit chat. The chit chat I could still live without to be honest but I did enjoy the controls and the gameplay this time around. Couldn't manage to finish it even with the Napalm gun and extra continues cheat though
