Been playing some Gameboy Advance after reading the big 10th Anniversary thread on rllmuk. I finally cleared the Special Cup on 150cc on Mario Kart Super Circuit, after all these years! Had to resort to using the GB Player and Hori Classic pad though - just couldn't manage all the sliding and weapons on the triggers with the SP. It still won't let me Time Trial the classic tracks though. Also played some Digidrive but the years have not been kind to my skills. Plus, I forgot some of the rules. Still great though, especially in zone mode.

Played about 4 hours straight on Varth (Operation Thunderstorm) this afternoon my god that's a long game!
Had to credit feed a bit to get to the end (30 levels).
I'll be sinking some time into this next week.

Lego Star Wars. Not a fan of Star Wars but this is pretty charming fun.

The only retro thing I have done this week is put my old PS1 and Megadrive up in the loft. Sad times.
Surprising they both fit in a PS2 box along with about 6 controllers.

The girlfriend moved into our house this week so I needed more room for her stuff. Sacrifices had to be made lol.
On the plus side the game collection has been boosted with all her games

I still have the PS2 down here so I can play PS1 games still and I took my Megadrive games over to my Dads place to play on the other Megadrive over there when I feel the urge

Played some Super Tennis.

It's not as good as I remember but still playable.

Got a little further with Mario RPG. Once this is out of the way (and Hell's Highway) I'll move onto Jedi Knight and... *drum roll* Chrono Trigger. :O

fired the MCD up today had a good few hours playing Silpheed and Final Fight, Silpheed was a first for me absolutely loved it, Final fight was great just shame they look awfull on my LCD really need to get a CRT for my retro gear

i have been playing Cyber Lip on Neo Geo its actually a lot better than i remembered but it doesnt compare to Contra.

i also was just playing Exile on a BBC Master emulator. really want to try and finish that game!

That's still a lot more games than some play!
Yeah, her Dad was always a gamer so it was always in the family to play games, so she has been through a few generations now. Her faves would have to be Zelda, Pokemon, Oblivion, most RPGs and the Sonics/Marios past and present...oh and Grandia which I mentioned before!
HATES the likes of CoD and Halo.
The collection has mainly benefited in the DS department as we nearly have all the Pokemon games now between us

Resident Evil 4. I'd forgotten how much it compels you to keep moving forward. Even when you've been through it all before it's hard to put down. Still a ton of fun, especially the Wii version, works really well.

Bought REmake (Wii ver) too as I saw both in HMV, factory sealed (yay, no shop grub). Will play that next (prob with the classic controller).

I've been playing quite a few retro games recently. Just completed Chrono Trigger and FFVII, when I finish work tomorrow think I may have to start playing Banjo Kazooie again
