Exploring the Mega Drive still. Quite a few new arrivals today:

Toki - love the intro, especially the music. The game itself is quite good, but I was dying a lot and it didn't always feel fair. The restart points are a bit harsh too.

Streets of Rage - Only played SoR2 in the past but I really liked this one. Got as far as the lift stage.

Revenge of Shinobi - was expecting more from this to be honest. Found it too hard and not that fun

Golden Axe - hmm, it was ok I guess, but the combat was mightily clunky. Good tunes though.

Mickey Mouse in Castle of Illusion - the first level in the forest I enjoyed, but the second level in the toy box was a bit of an eye sore and the music really grated after a while. I think I got as far as stage 3 before seeing the game over screen and turning it off.

Donald Duck in Quackshot - didn't get on with this one much at all.

Galaxy Force II - just a quick blast on this as it froze on me during stage 2. The graphics were pretty crude and I didn't really feel like I was controlling the ship very much. Thinking maybe I should have gone for the Saturn version instead?

Battlefield 2, is this even retro? Tis 6 years old, finding. Lot more fun than bad company 2, which I lik also.

Interstate 76, modern release with 360 pad controls, quite groovy.

I've been playing Akumajou Dracula X Chronicle on PSP. I only ever played Rondo very briefly, but I've really enjoyed this. It's not even that hard once you get into it.
        Kept you waiting, huh?

Final Fantasy VI, I'm not feeling it yet though. I've only played VII and VIII all the way through, IX halfway and started a bit of some earlier ones. Does it grow on you? Do you need to be in the right mood for it? Or should it have grabbed me instantly?

Struggling through Super Metroid as well after buying it a couple of weeks ago. I keep getting stuck and not sure whether I'm meant to wait for a power up or meant to know another way. It's possible I'm feeling too frustrated for games at the moment, I'm not an outdoors person at all but I still have more trouble getting into games when its sunny outside.

Finally bought the OG Xbox version of Splinter Cell: Double Agent. What can I say? Wow. It is, for me, the poorer relation of the 360 version (of which I am a great fan) but it's great fun to play and really interesting to see a sort of director's cut. This version is 100% different to the 360 version ? different developer and it really shows.

I love stealth games, but have struggled to find good examples. Being a big fan of SC, it's a dream come true to find a new game in the series. I'd heard about the differences but never really believed it.

FFVI is definitely a grower. Took me until about 20% of the way through to really start enjoying it. Plus there is so much to do, it's just an incredible game.

Metroid can be played any way you want it to, certain things are scripted to a point, but in most cases there are ways to work around and get to places where you shouldn't be.

I restarted FFVI a couple of times, once by accidently not saving then dying, the last time I played it for longer and got more into it. I've got more characters split into different areas now so there's more going on and I've heard more stuff, at first it felt like I'd missed an intro or something. I'm not sure if my concentration is there enough for an RPG at the moment though but I'll keep going with it or I'll forget what I've done.

I'm a bit afraid of being in places I shouldn't be in Metroid! I don't want to get overloaded with hard enemies, I think I've left it at a boss so I'm not lost or stuck when I go back at least.

I find myself playing almost exclusively playing retro lately. Bar a few Fifa 11 clubs sessions I can't get into anything current or even last gen.

Playing Super Mario World, 60 exits so far.
F-Zero on master level trying to complete each race without boost, very hard!
Metroid Fusion, going through it with a friend at work.

Since buying the SNES I have put more time into it than anything, at least it justifies the purchase.

Started a game of RE1 director's cut a couple days ago, got to the part where the hunters came in and had bugger all ammo so I gave up o// Still love it though.

Gearing myself up to play REmake but I have been for 2yrs so that's not saying much.

I completed that just a few months ago for the first time. Was pretty easy in the end, just had to avoid the hunters as much as possible. First time I ever completed Resi 1 though.

I have been having a bit of a Data East fest on my AES with Fighters History Dynamite and Dunk Dreams. FHD is pretty underrated, and I find myself really getting into it.

Apart from that I have been playing (badly) the first Art of Fighting game. Had to chuck it onto easy as it was kicking my ass on normal.

I was using mainly flying kicks and low kicks. I know they are not the greatest fighters, but there has always been something cool about them.

It was great when it came out, used to be able to do the rush in supers n all. Just looked amazing in the arcades at the time.
