I liked the 1st couple of series of GamesMaster , buy only watched it inthe end of to see games running . I got bored of the childish insults , the boob gags , and even with sending Dom to Japan , inside SEGA ECT, all we got was jokes and gag's. When I would have much rather seen a proper grown up Interview and interview

I quite enjoyed Thumb Bandits too
I didn't need BadInfluence; it didn't teach me anything or show me anything special. I liked GamesMaster because it was fun and in ya face. I didn't expect it to give me much info, so I just enjoyed it for what it was.

The episode when they showed the preview of Mario64 was great. I'll never forget how amazed I was.

Thumb Bandits was good. It's a shame it didn't do well. BITS lasted quite a while, and I can't remember why I watched it( Emily Newton Dunn? was quite nice ) .. but at least it was reasonably entertaining.

I absolutely loved both Gamesmaster and Bad Influence. And i also very regularly watched Bits, Cybernet (if i was awake) & Movies, Games & Videos.

For anyone who is interested, every episode of Bad Influence has been uploaded to Youtube and over a 1 week period i watched them all and they brought back so many memories. I had a bit of a thing for Violet Berlin back then and still do when i watched all the old episodes. Some stand out moments for me were:

Seeing a brand new arcade fighting game that was going to revolutionise gaming. It was supposed to be availible for your home in 1995 only on Nintendo Ultra 64. Yes that game was Killer Instinct! When me and my mate first saw footage of it on the show and saw someone pull of a 36 hit ultra combo our jaws hit the floor.

And seeing Donkey Kong Country for the first time made me respond in a similar way as i couldnt believe it was running on the Snes.

Also loved the episode where Violet Berlin went to Japan to report on the Nintendo 64

All in all it was great to watch every episode again on youtube and to see the journey from the 16 bit wars between the Snes with Mario & the Megadrive with Sonic all the way through to the 32 bit era and seeing consoles like the Atari Jaguar, Real Panasonic 3do & of course the Saturn, Playstation & N64.

As for Gamesmaster i also have the last ever episode on DVD with Diamond looking back at his greatest memories of the show over the years. I loved both Domonik Diamond and Dave Perry.

Yes i can understand how people would think Perry was a Cock at times but he was a very funny cock and also did offer alot of advice on all the games. Stand out moments for me were:

            Domonik Diamond marrying Whigfield

Domonik Diamond going to Nevada and riding the then fastest or tallest wooden rollercoaster in the world called DESPERADO

When Diamond went to Universal Studios in 1993 and rode on the Jurrassic Park ride without wearing a yellow waterproof mack because as he put it ''I CANT WEAR THAT ITS YELLOW, THE FASHION POLICE WILL ARREST ME, I WONT GET WET IM TO COOL TO WEAR THAT'' but ended up getting soaked and after saying ''AT LEAST IM STILL COOL'' slipping on the floor at the end.

Diamond on the set of the movie MORTAL KOMBAT talking to Brigitte Wilson & this other woman who he tried to chat up and ask out.

I also loved the Rapid River challenge with those two hotties paddling hard and other challenges like the Virtua Fighter 2 TETSUJIN challenge where he won 50 consecutive matches and the guy who played 2 Virtua Cop 2 or House Of The Dead cabinets at the same time

Domonik Diamond also did a games show on Bravo a few years after Gamesmaster ended called WHEN GAMES ATTACK which was not all that bad and featured a segment with two sooty like puppets pitting their game of choice against the others where whoever lost had to do a forefit like have their head crushed in a vice or get thrown into a uranium chamber!

The moment when Violet Berlin debuted as an amply-proportioned BBW on Gamepad, with the same endearing lisp she had on Bad Influence, that was the day I formulated an ideal of 'The Perfect Girlfriend'.

Not only curves, big boobiez, but pretty, probably a lovely, large bottumz, but also an encyclopaedic knowledge and understanding of gaming and gaming history, plus the related tolerance and understanding to fully exist in a working relationship with a gaming-obsessed male.

How great a partner would that be?!

I think Gaz Top's with her now (and I always liked Gaz Top anyway) and - despite my reservations because I like the bloke - I would readily enter a pit fight, to-the-death, take his head off, and obtain ownership of his fine woman.

just reading through this thread and this made me LOL

Gaz top, this dragged up memories of Get Fresh with Gilbert the Alien and the cartoon Centurions "Power Extreme!!!"

I liked Dominik until he claimed DKC was pap.

I also especially liked the episode where Randy Savage came on as a guest to play a WWF game (SNES Royal Rumble?) and humbly lost (on purpose I think) to a kid. He was my favourite wrestler and this reaffirmed my image that he would be a sound bloke in person, unlike Hogan + Warrior.

I was bored so i watched some more of those bad influence clips on youtube, my god the 90's gaming scene really was cheesy. It's weird when you live through it at the time you don't notice it but then you look back & seem to notice just how cheesy it was.

Still it was a fun time to be an import gamer.

I really liked When Games Attack. It took a few episodes to click, due to the crud Pro Evo and Dance challenges, but the rest of the formula was fun. Gave me a happy glowing feeling when watching, the same happy glowing feeling I used to get with Gamesmaster. I miss Gamesmaster a lot. =(

I'd kill for Gamesmaster DVDs, official or otherwise.
