I no longer have a CRT TV just an LCD one and all my consoles, look terrible on the LCD TV, so what i've done is built a tiny Media PC which connects to my LCD TV via the DVI Socket.
I then run Magic Engine on the Media PC and the picture looks crisp. To play CD games I rip the CDs to ISO images and then mount them using Magic Disc Virtual Drive which also means there are no loading times.
For a controller I use a jap saturn pad modded to USB.
but the thing is I actually like owning the originals of any games I play, its very sad I know but I enjoy getting the games through the post opening them up etc.. so when I get a new game I grab the rom then play it on the PC, I don't play any games I don't own, all a bit weird I know, its just the way I like it though.
