Hardest point n click adventure game?

What is the hardest point and click adventure game that you have played?

I would say Discworld was the most challenging game out of what I have played. The dragon and the mirror was a right ballache at the time. Even after playing this game so many times, I still get stuck on the gold tooth puzzle. I recall being stuck for months on certain parts. I do love these types of games and have played quite a lot of what has been released. I would be interested to hear what you have found the most challenging.

I find them all ridiculously cryptic, thank god for the hint systems in the remakes I've played. I enjoy playing them but jesus some of the puzzles I'd never work out in 100yrs.

Everything about Discworld is a ballache, easily the hardest point & click I've ever played. Lovely game though

I might as well come out and say I've never beat a point & click game 100% on my own, there's always something that gets me, even in relatively easy games like Broken Sword (that goat).

Another mention here for Discworld II to on the playstation. It was the third point and click that I'd ever played (after Monkey Island on the Amiga and Broke Sword on the PSX) and it made them look like a piece of piss in comparison.

Another vote for the first Discworld. The worst part about it was that there was a bug in some versions which meant you couldn't complete it! This is what happened to me.

Discworld 2, if anything, went too far in the other direction. Completed it over a weekend.

Monkey Island 4 (Escape) was pretty hard because the solutions were so totally illogical. The series got lost up a back trap to nowhere at that point.

I always found almost anything Sierra used to put out to be fantastically hard.

The Police Quest series were totally awesome but so infuriating at times.

The driving section in PQ1 used to have me swearing at my Atari ST more times than I ever have at anything else in the history of gaming & that was even before I started on the proper crime solving.

Oh & don't even get me started on the Colonels Bequest...jebus christ that was just plain evil on a floppy diss

Still they were all freaking awesome & I may actually dig the Amiga out during the christmas break for some clicking action (If any of them still work that is)

The Longest Journey is pretty bloomin hard. Discworld was hard because it had no real logic to it, the puzzles were just too random. But with Longest Journey the solutions always made sense, they were just really tricky.

Yeah, I used to find the Sierra games way tougher than the Lucasarts ones. I think the thing that hacked me off the most was that there were so many ways you could bone your save game and yet not find out for another x many hours. King's Quest VI, I love you but also hate you.

I remember playing Discworld II but don't remember how I got on with it. I know Return to Zork was another that was a real ballache. I remember being over the moon when one day at the dodgy Poole market there was a dog-eared copy of a guide for it going for a couple of quid.

                      Discworld

Octopus + love potion custard + string = belt buckle? ... anyone who says they completed this without ever resulting to seeking help is a liar!

Sierra games were more unfair than hard. Come on, I died because I looked at a river on the first screen in one of the King's Quests.

Lol they didn't make it easy but oh god how I loved them...I think I must have owned almost all of them at one point.

Gieger's Dark Seid was another one that was not only odd but tough as hell.
I really need to play through that again...loved the style so much, but then I am a huge fan of Gieger & his gential filled artwork.

I do wonder if the discs have survived 7 years of loft hell.
I have a feeling that not many will have survived the conditions

Did anyone else get into the later FMV point & clicks??
There were some brilliant ones that were infuriating...Ripper & Phantasmagoria spring to mind...not only that they were damn right scary at times as well.
