He probably hates it because, being a Speccy owner, the sheer variety of the colours blinds him. Not used to it with the usual efforts being purple, yellow and purple/orange.

Be good since it never came out on the Spectrum and 1st owned the game on the MS, but never mind.

it's not the greatest shooter ever

Not its far from it . Played many a better shooter just found the whole game boring and dull and never got why so many SEGA fans raved about it . SEGA were never the best at making 2D scrolling shooters and in the Arcade there were far better shooters and I didn't think the MS version was that great

I've only just realised now that the shop music in Fantasy Zone was re-used for the inter stage intermissions in Turbo Outrun!

It was also used on other games too. Also, the name entry music on Fantasy Zone is from Space Harrier.

Fantasy Zone's shop music = MD Super Hang-On's career mode shop music.

Still doesn't stop MD Super Hang-On being rubbish though.

Everyone in the arcades was always huddled around Street Fighter 2, never around VF, and for good reason.
VF was just turd.

Bit harsh to say Tekken wouldn't exist if VF wasn't made though, Tekken was well into production before VF was released, so it would have came about regardless of VF.
