Same here, I'm fifty and remember all the early machines.

As above, 10p was ours. If an arcade's machines were on 20p we would go to another one where it was cheaper.

My 5 are all over the place timeline-wise.

Shinobi - I was obsessed with Shinobi as a kid. I used to finish primary school put on my roller skates and travel 1-mile into the city centre to big johns video shop to play this back in 88' If mother found out she would've gone nuts! I also used to try and play the 2-2 level music on the drumpads on my Yamaha keyboard...it never sounded anything like it :/

HOTD1 - The local cab I used to play on was pretty harsh. It was a small stand-up cab with 2-lives per credit with a maximum of 3... Every other cab I played on used to start off with 3/5 lives with a maximum of 5-lives in stock. Harsh! I could eventually 1cc the game without getting hit though so it didn't matter

Mortal Kombat 2 - Looking back the game is a bit crap now imo, but at the time I loved it. I sold all my Spectrum games to get funds to play it in the arcade

Street Fighter 2 Series - This was EVERYWHERE, it was had not to get sucked in. And I still am. (ST only)

Killer Instinct 1 - I rinsed this for about 2 years solid a few days a week. At one point we had 3 Ki cabs within a 5 minute walk from each other in the City Centre. Myself a couple of other decent players used to battle it out to find bugs to get extra hits on the ultra and get our initials on the scoreboard. Weirdly enough the bugs made the game better and more longevity than it should've had.

          1: DDR
          2: Initial D V1
          3: Initial D V2
          4: Pump It Up
          5: Easy To Dancer

I didn't really get a chance to visit arcades very much until the late 90s/early 2000s but all of those machines got some serious money out of me and my friends.

          Good times.
