I saw a PC Engine with the CD add-on, a Core Grafx II and a Shuttle.

I like the look of the standard white PC Engine the most, but the Core Grafx II has better outputs, is that right?

I really shouldn't go down the rabbit hole...
Does anyone recommend the PCE Everdrive?

Yup, owned a few now and I can't fault them. Brilliant bit of kit.

@QualityChimp: White is RF only, Core Grafx and Core Grafx II have 5 pin DIN connections that can be replaced with 8 pin for RGB cables. Nice and tidy.

Not forgetting that if you don't intend to use the expansion port you can get an RGB signal from the pins on that.

Castlevania IV is perfect in every department, so easily my favourite game in the series. It just does everything right and is a joy to play. I've never liked SOTN, but the series is definitely diverse, so everyone will have their favourites.
