Clarkson is causing a bit more controversy - apparently caught using his phone driving on the M40.

WTF was that piece of crap on friday night? Truly the worst thing the boys have ever done.

What did I miss? What the hell did they do?

Some Ground Force thing I think, for Sport Relief. Didn't watch it though.

They'd obviously have to make good his lawn (what there was to begin with), so I'd be interested to know if the money for that came out of the tv licence, sport relief donations, or clarkson et al's back pockets.

It was predictable set-ups passed off as them causing mayhem in Steve Redgrave's garden. The humour was only there if you like 'see the punchline coming from a mile away' jokes (e.g. My Family)

Problem is that they aren't very good at acting (although not as bad as Steve Redgrave) who was teeeeeerible.

When it ended and they passed back to Davina, she said 'My God, what you did there was terrible!'. I thought 'Yup'.

                          a damn fine summing up.

it was brain dead stuff for the lowest common denominator of gibbering chimps who would applaud and laugh at anything when somebody holds a sign up telling them to do it.

when Top Gear gets it right (which it does to a pretty high hit rate) its brilliant and even though you know its scripted and carefully crafted it comes across as off the cuff and spontaneous.

this drivel though was simply terrible and just sullies their 'brand', even if it is for charity.

Yeah I agree, it was waaay too scripted and cringe-worthy - it's like they were dumbing it way down to accomodate the viewers who don't watch Top Gear.

                            BUT

Watching the jet engine/rotisserie chicken bit at the end was genuine LOL!

I thought the sports relief was a laugh, if only for the pure abuse of the shed. The only thing I thought was scripted/**** was the fountain smashing the green house. Too obvious.

Good though, i'd watch it again
