I thought it was a good start to the series and left me wanting to know more!!!!

Not in the same league as 24 yet but it could get that way

      That's a load of tosh.

Best drama series since The Shield.
I can see where they are coming from with the script. There were many times I cringed at the poor dialogue, cliched lines and clunky exposition. So far (and it could get much, much better) there has been no sign of originality of flair in the writing at all.

Watched the 3 eps that were shown and didn`t seem to bad but didn`t blow me away either. Will definatly keep watching it but wasn`t as instantly appealing as Alias was which is also written by J.J Abrams.

It's not about flair, but about delivering characterisation naturally in circumstances that are anything but. After the first few episodes, you being to realise it's a character-driven show, where the real meat is in the flashbacks than the intrigue on the island. The reviewer on RT was came over judging the show's writing on a couple of episodes.

My answer is to give it time. The script gets better as the series goes on.

I understand that but the RT review was for the opening two episodes. He wasn't trying to write a review for the whole series so I think it was justified.

It was a she, and the review in question generalised the series based on those two episodes. If you read the write-up for this week's, the same cynicism is still there for those ever so nasty slick American dramas.

I'm tired of that kind of bitterness from sections of the UK media to be honest. We're not producing the goods right now, which is why high quality imports are doing so well in the main.

Caught the first 3 episodes last night and ****ing loved it!! Lots of **** going on and great how everyeone has there own wee secret story. Liked the way the third episode ended with the music showing you all the main characters... was a nice way to show "Right, thats everyeon established, now we are really gonna kick this **** off".

Gonna watch this show religously now and try get DVD copies if possible... dont want to have to wait a week between episodes!!

PS. The big guy with the long hair... what else has he been in??? I def recognise him from something but cant put my finger on it. I trawled IMDB but couldn't find anything on previous things he would have been in. Not even sure what his real name is so that might help

                      Jorge Garcia. Nothing particularly notable.

Watched the first three episodes yesterday (1 & 2 recorded from Channel 4 on Saturday evening and 3 recorded last night). Also recorded the documentary about the series on E4. Roll on Wednesday for Episode 4.

Enjoying it so far I must say.

Cheers Marty, I checked out that profile but as I didnt recognise any of the stuff he was in I didnt think it was him. I must be getting him mixed up with the big guys from Armageddon and Varsity Blues, at first I thought he was one of them but in fact it is 3 different people

Cant wait for my next slice of this, great show!!

He was in The Sun on Saturday - for sleeping with his 38(?) year old English Tutor when he was about 16 top bloke.

I've seen the first 5 episodes so far having just picked up on this show last week with the hype of C4 showing it.

I'm a sucker for Lord of the Flies type setups so I knew I would like this, and so far it's keeping me entertained. I can see why the critics attacked the casting though, it is rather silly how all the leads are very glamorous and cliched. But I guess that had to be done to get shallow US audiences interested.

I do have a horrible feeling it's going to end up as some sort of cheese fest though with the island being a Far Cry style military/scientitic experiment gone wrong. But we'll see, hopefully the writer will be more original than that.

Watched the first 3 on E4 last night. Kind of 'meh' but I guess I did watch 3 hours of it so there was some hook. Some desert island stories annoy me because all the characters are so rubbish - these ones are merely clich?d. They need somebody like Tom Hanks.

How come nobody likes sushi? Ungrateful buggers.
