Stan, just realised that this is the same person who directed Class of 1999! A film that was the backbone to my youth - uber gang violence, dating headmaster daughters, reliance on drugs, pam grier, cyborgs killing humans, quality soundtrack - Mark Lester satisfied every geek artery in my body with this masterpiece. They used to make videogame like Commando and they were great too - Final Fight, for example. I don't think it's a coincidence that Haggar has a moustache and that Guy and Cody are 'friends'. And check out the tight t-shirt and jeans combo on Cody - ouch!
It's a shame all that New Man nonsense killed off testosterone!

just watched this gem on one opf the sky movies channels and its still cut in the UK
Quite surprised tbh since things have relaxed a little and firman isnt at BBFC anymore

Just thought I'd resurrect this thread with the news that fox are due to release 'Commando' in a 2 disc definitive dvd set!!
Release date: 28th may!
Details are scant but I can only assume it'll be the full uncut version and will obviously be packed with special features
