    MCD 2024: Box Office Bingo III

    It's December and so the contest once again prepares for another year of cinematic battles. 2023 has proven to be quite the curveball run with many films massively underperforming against expectations and a couple hugely over performing. This made some rounds come in at extremes of the spectrum and many guesses end up being way off the mark. One consistent throughout the year was the 2023 winner, clocking up a very healthy lead. Throughout the month we will be open to entries for the coming year with extra rounds added to keep the field open for longer and to further account for titles that are delayed and cancelled as time goes on.

    Each round scores a win for the person with the closest guess and the individual with the highest number of rounds under their belt takes the crown.

      Its gonna be tricky this year, it feels like the super hero thing has reached its end and Disney has really lost its way,

      Need to do a bit more thinking before i put my guesses in

        2023 has definitely made assessing 2024 a massive wild card game. Much harder to work out guesses but should make for a very varied contest

            I reckon 2024 is gonna be a tough one with films like Madame web, venom 3 and kraven the hunter putting the final nail in the super hero coffins, I think Deadpool 3, the Joker 2​ are gonna do well and hopefully Disney/Pixar can get back on form with Inside Out 2​ though i have a feeling they are gonna go overboard with the virtue signaling and shoehorn in that Riley is now LGBTQ+ and kick of a massive campaign against the film.

            -Madame Web: $300m (could go either way the trailer bored me half to death and pretty much showed the entire film)

            -Dune: Part Two: $402m

            -Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire: $240m (i want this to do well but history is not being kind and it feels like the audience isnt their even with massive stars and some pretty spectacular special effects)

            -Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire: $600m

            -Furiosa: A Mad Max Story: $480m

            -Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes: $490

            -Ballerina: A John Wick Story: $400m

            -Inside Out 2: $999m (please be good)

            -Twisters: $200m

            -Deadpool 3: $850m ( wolverine and Deapool a match made in heaven has potential to be fantastic)

            -Alien: Romulus: $230m

            -Kraven the Hunter: $100m (super hero flop written all over it)

            -Joker II: Folie a Deux: $700m

            -Terrifier 3: $15m

            -Venom 3: $400m

            -Gladiator II: $650m

            -Sonic the Hedgehog 3: $319​m

            -Mufasa: The Lion King: $900m​ this i think has potential to do crazy numbers as the lion king franchise has nostalgia and a crazy big fanbase.

              Plenty time to submit guesses, given the timing of the first film on the 2024 roster I'm going to set a deadline for entries of 12 January 2024

              Of course that means everyone has no excuse about not entering
