    Oh please.

You might have time to waste like that but I don't. Don't judge others by your own yardstick.

Pardon me for having an opinion - but hey, don't let that stop some of you in this thread from waving around your e-penis

Oh come on! How could you not love the "hip" and "edgy" Madonna music video and the fantastic CG tsunami, which is by far some of the best special effects to come out of the movie world in the last decade!

Trailer doesn't give much away but looks promising enough. There's a brief clip from a fist-fight and it looks so much like something from Bourne.

When I watched Die Another Day again recently (is it me or is it repeated on ITV every other month?!) the special effects were, literally, laughable.

Trailer looks pretty good actually. I love the bond movies although this has reminded me that I really don't like the look of Craig as Bond. He's a little too rough around the edges, I know you can argue that bond IS rough around the edges in Casino royal and rather reckless, but I still think they could of found someone that doesn't look like a a skinnier even more drug addled Robbie Williams.

Also the film is directly referencing the previous film, that's pretty unique for a Bond film is it not? They were always very stand alone

Alreet, maybe saying you were fakeposting was too much, and I apologise for that. It was just that your poker comment seemed pretty extreme, and the same logic could be applied to any movie making it redundent. Dunno, you seem kind of grumpy so I won't say anything more.

Yip yip. Direct sequel and I think its set pretty much right after Casino Royale.

I thought Casino Royale was absolutely incredible I have watched it so many times on Bu-ray, despite having a huge backlog of films to watch. I honestly enjoy watching it over and over again. I think Craig is a great Bond and really helped pull the series in a new, much needed direction after Brosnans' Bond outings became more and more ridiculous (GoldenEye was amazing but the rest just got silly).

I can't wait for Quantum of Solace. Shame Beyonce is doing the theme song seeing as Amy Winehouse is so messed up. I thought "You Know My Name" by Chris Cornell was a fantastic theme and I can't imagine the new film starting with either (a) a typical R&B number or (b) some boring ballady thing.

What do you mean by skinnier more drug addled Robbie Williams?

I think he makes a great Bond, having grown up watching a Bond film almost every week when I was a kid, I've always loved Bonds and Craig definitely doesn't let down for the new series of films.

Although it is weird that this is going to be a sequel. Can't imagine them keeping that up forever, quite a strange move, but we'll see what happens.

Looking good, first time I've ever been excited about a new bond film! After really not enjoying any other film in the series I thought Royal was excellent, a real turn in the right direction.

You can also see the Bourne influence in the trailer alone for QoS, though I hear it has the same action director which probably explains it! And yes, the film is a direct sequel to Casino, which is neat.

This for me is part of the problem. As Bourne did so well they feel the need to copy it's style but it just comes across as a Bourne style film with Bond in it rather than a Bond film. I enjoyed Casino Royale a lot and enjoyed it's gritty style but it didn't really feel like a Bond film to me. Of course absolutely loving the other Bond films doesn't help as they are very different to Casino Royale, even the more serious ones feel like Bond.

I also feel Pierce Brosnan gets FAR too much stick for his Bond. Yes the later ones he did were a bit ropey, though I still maintain and that Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies are good fun, but he was a great Bond and played it very well - not his fault he got stuck with crappy scripts and he always made the best of it. I'm annoyed they never gave the poor sod a proper send off.

I'm sure Quantum Of Solace will be good fun and the trailer does look decent, but I'm still wary how much of Bond will actually be in there.

I am well excited, it's good for Bond to go off on a different tangent for a couple of films. I think in the long run this sort of revenge mission will add depth to the overall Bond character. .
I agree about the song as well, the Chris Cornell effort was the greatest Bond song of all time.

Not a bad trailer, could possibly be the third bond film i'll enjoy

Goldeneye and the new Casino Royale are the other two. Not massive on bondage.

heard on the radio that Leona Lewis is up for the theme song.

never heard that Beyonce was doing it, pray its not her, as it'll end up a mash like madonna's effort.

as theres has been interest form Kylie, H.I.M and Amy Wino'house.

is there any confirmation on it?

Yeah me neither, but I love James Bond films!

I think the Amy Winehouse / Mark Ronson Bond theme was scrapped. I believe Ronson is still writing it though.

It's looking good. Just for the record, I'm a HUGE Bond fan and I loved Casino Royale. It's definitely up there with the best of them e.g. Goldeneye, The first 4 Connery ones, Live and Let Die. And I always had a soft spot for the slightly darker ones: Licence to Kill and The World is Not Enough. BUt that might just be me!

On a different note, did anybody else let the trailers carry on playing after Bond? New X-Files movie with Billy Connolly????? WTF?
Don't look at me, I'm irrelevant.
