Watched Eagle vs Shark yesterday - quirky New Zealand film which reminded me of Napoleon Dynamite. One of those films where nothing much really happens, but enjoyable to watch because of the weird characters.

Watched The Wrestler on Friday, wicked film and had my girlfriend covering her eyes during one scene - the documentary style is pretty convincing at times. Pretty perfect film tbh with some great performances.

Was just going to ask about that, thought someone here must have seen it by now, it's getting rave reviews. What had Rourke done to his face with all that surgery, he's almost unrecognisable. Hope he sued.

Fight Club, I've seen it when it first came out and loved it, haven't seen it for ages then watched it again on Sunday and fell in love with it all over again.

I love David Fincher's other work as well with Seven, Zodiac etc. and am looking forward to The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Slumdog Millionaire, very nice and great to see something in a real cinema for a change.

I watched Fight Club on BD lately, had never seen it before. I liked it, but as usual I didn't understand why some people rave about it so much.

My wife did exactly the same.

It a brutal, extreme side of wrestling I'd have known nothing about were it not for Louis Theroux.

That's exactly what I said to her afterwards too The

Watched Bangkok Dangerous last night. Not even the constant shots of his watch (a Ventura) could save it. Woeful.

Rambo, again. Brutal. Mashed up bits everywhere.

I heard he went in to boxing in the late '80s & '90s. Got his faced wrecked - and then had surgery.. which made things look even more dodgy.

Yeah, I'm sure when he was on Jonathan Ross a few months ago he said that was the reason.

Not the best career move ever I guess
