Valkyrie is awesome, watching it earlier this year started me on a huge WWII binge... I ended up watching Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, Band of Brothers, The Thin Red Line, Das Boot... oh and Wind Talkers but the less said about that one the better!

This week I have watched Anchorman & Talladega Nights.

I have never actually liked Will Ferrell - I just find him annoying, have done ever since his tiny role in Austin Powers, then Zoolander made it worse.. however I really enjoyed Talladega Nights cos of the racing subject matter, and that made me able to watch Anchorman and actually enjoy it too.

One thing that struck me though, is that Sacha Baron Cohen is just doing an 'explicit gay acts for hire' service these days.. does nobody else feel it's getting a little old?

I saw Bolt last night. It pleasantly surprised me because Disney's non-Pixar output hasn't been brilliant over the last few years, and it occasionally got slightly schmaltzy, but overall it was a lot of fun. Beautiful as well: I loved the painted backgrounds with the CG foreground and characters. Not quite Pixar, but I liked it and it's worth watching.

Yep, Bolt is almost Pixar though. The presentation is very sleek and John Lassiter should make all 3D animated films very good from now on.

Day off today and off all next week so planning to start ploughing through the back log of Blu & HD that I have.

Just finished Lost in Translation. Beautiful film. Very slow burning and Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson () are totally believable in their roles. I thought the ending was good too and makes you think about the repurcussions of your potential actions.

Dunno what to watch next. In a bit of an action mood so the choice is either Man on Fire, MI3 or T3. Hmm...

Man on Fire mate. There really is no other choice

MI3 is very under rated. People got so worked up about the ZOMG SCIENTOLGY crap that they ignored that it was a good action film with a superb performance from philip seymour hoffman.

Man on Fire if good too though.

Went to see Star Trek last night. I've never been a huge fan of the TV shows or films but totally loved it. Perfect sci-fi blockbuster. Made me want to go out and buy Season One of the original series on Blu-ray.

Anchorman is genius - with Ron Burgundy and Tits McGee

I didn't think Talladega Nights was that brilliant but I did like Will Ferrell in Jay and Silent Bob!!

This afternoon, after Lost in Translation I went a bit old school and ended up watching Thunderball. Sheer brilliance! Connery is the best Bond ever.

Can't wait for Diamonds Are Forever and You Only Live Twice to come out on Blu!!

Watched Sideways last night, I've wanted to see it for ages. Really enjoyed it although it was quite bleak in places. It made me never want to drink again.

Great film, but dude, I felt the complete opposite, that film makes me so thirsty.
