Looks pretty good. But... it looks like there could be a serious amount of young Clark in there. I really don't need to see that again. What are the chances they can do something new and interesting with it? Just take me to Superman.

Might be way off base but they might be retreading it due to some changes that need setting up, the old trailer suggested Jonathon Kent was raising Clark up to hide his powers for good etc which isn't a big plot point but differs from the last film continuity somewhat. If theres loads of other tweaks it might need the retread. I'm okay with it as long as its justified, not done like Amazing Spiderman where there's hardly any difference but it dominates most the film.

Yep, if it's absolutely required for the film to work because the approach is very different, then fair enough. But I guess I'm just hoping we don't have to sit through 40 minutes or more before actually getting to grown-up Superman. Even with some changes, his origin could probably be told in a few minutes during the opening titles.

Heh-heh - "It's not an 'S', it stands for 'hope'". I'm guessing that comes from a comic at some point but nope; it's definitely an 'S' and let's see you explain the cape and the rest of the nutty outfit. The man-babies need a serious explanation.

I'm no fan of Superman but this looks OK.

I watched this so many times on the train to work this morning - an amazing trailer. I honestly have no interest in superman and didn't really feel anything towards the older ones (the classics and the more recent additions) but I'm incredibly excited for this. Cannot wait - day off work booked in fact for first viewing!!

That actually looked decent but I stand by my comments about Costner. We should put him in a rocket and fire him to the next star system after some of the shockers he's been involved in.

Totally agree. But then I'd send Crowe up with him if I had my way. Not fond of Superman's two dads.

He could never become a superman with those two lighting the way. He'd either grow up to be an evil villain or the director of a Waterworld sequel.

I'm kind of wishing I had stopped watching the trailers now. I have seen too much! But the trailers really did their job. I was very lukewarm about this before and now I'm totally hyped.
