What songs are those? I've listened to them for years, but never knew. Though their later stuff is bland enough that I could easily imagine it being ripped from others.

Cigarettes and Alcohol is pure T-Rex for starters.

It's got to be insulting when another act rips off your song and does better with it. It's got to be REALLY insulting when another act rips off your song and their version is better.

I dont think it was Be agressive that he said ripped off one of his songs.

I think it was probabaly somthing off their last album.

Has Katy Perry's new one with Kanye been mentioned yet? It's clearly that Tatu song with the girls in the rain.

I think the argument was that Faith No More just used a chant that Cheerleaders had already been using for years.

Yep! Also, Kesha's Tik-Tok is basically Katy Perry's California Gurls. When it gets to the chorus of Tik Tok just sing the Perry chorus and it fits perfectly.

theres about 3 years between these albums and "move along" was a huge hit in USA. Mariana's Trench have used all the same musical elements even down to double time hi-hat in the chorus. vocal melody has been changed but musically very very similar. Again could be "heavily inspired by" rather than a rip off.

Listening to Daft Punk's Tron Legacy soundtrack. The track, The Grid, 40 seconds in, the tune reminds me of Athur C Clarke's Mysterious World theme tune !?

Not really a rip off, but just made me remember the show...
