I'm at the other end of the spectrum, getting discs on the cheap!
Avatar 3D was a fiver on Amazon using Music Magpie.
Annoyingly, last time I looked, the discs weren't cheaper from MM themselves after postage is added.
I watched Jackie Chan's First Strike last night and had to laugh as I'd left the CEX sticker on - £1!

Very nice Atticus! Might as well get 4 and 5 to round out the set...
I actually ended up cancelling my order for III in the end. l love it, but have seen it loads and in the end I wasn't sure I wanted it enough to spend ~£30 on t.
I do waver on buying Blus as I really like owning them but having a regular UHD habit can be pretty pricey. However, collecting 3D is now great value (of course back when I was buying all my 3D discs, which I can no longer play, they were all UHD prices *facepalm*).
My solution is to reduce my total purchases by subscribing to Cinema Paradiso, which is the last remaining traditional disc-rental-by-post system. It means I can watch Blus like that Road Games I watched the other day without stumping up for them. I had been really considering the fancy LE version of that a while back, and really glad I didn't go for it as I wasn't a fan of the film at all.
I do have some new purchased discs to post in here too though, which I'll do later today or tomorrow

I love a CeX bargain. Some prices are so good you can watch and then give to the charity shop and it’s less than a rental.
I’m trying to be good and not over-buy physical releases (tough yesterday with Censor, Dune, Last Night in Soho and Afterlife all coming out on the same day - I did buy one of them though ).
I love Halloween so much I just wanted to get these to go with III while the nice chunky slipcase versions are still available.

Urgh, I want to buy the Back to the Future trilogy.
The latest release is "Ultimate" and the one before was "35th anniversary".
Despite trumpeting "NEWLY REMASTERED" from the packaging, I'm reading that the standard £15 boxset has exactly the same versions and the only way to get the remastered BR versions is to buy the 4K versions, which has both the remastered BR discs and the 4K ones, but that's £50!
Plus I don't have anything to play 4k!
Is this right or have Universal fixed the discs?

Not saying you're wrong - but that doesn't sound right to me, surely this version should have the latest discs:
Where did you read that it didn't?

Oh you mean the bazillion 1 star reviews? Yeah, I probably should've scrolled down and seen that
OK, so did a bit of digging on this. Looks like it's an error and they put the wrong discs in. Honestly the frequency with which this happens is beyond insane. It literally happens all the fuppin time and it's really irritating
So Universal do/did run a disc replacement programme, details from a HiDef Ninja thread are as follows:
Originally posted by HiDef Ninja threadUniversal Pictures Home Entertainment UK (UPHE UK) has identified an issue with the home entertainment release of Back to the Future Trilogy 35th Anniversary Edition on Blu-rayTM made available on October 12, 2020. The initial run of the film’s Blu-ray release inadvertently included previously available remastered film content instead of the newest remastered versions of the films as previously promoted, due to a production error. Our goal is to always deliver the best possible product to our consumers. To that end, a replacement program is being established in the UK to ensure that those who have purchased this recent release of Back to the Future Trilogy on Blu-ray receive a corrected disc.
This does not affect any 4K UHD releases which all include the correct discs already.
To receive updated Back to the Future Trilogy discs please email the following information:
• Your full postal address and name
• A copy of your sales receipt or a photo of the discs and the packaging
Please send the above requested information to the email address below:

Such a pain though.
