      Oh dear...

I'm to take it the world has been taken over by dinosaurs and the humans form some sort of militia to take back earth?

Glad they're keeping the spirit of the first alive then.

Or the heroes inadvertently time travel back to when dinosaurs ruled the earth and have to fix their DeLorean's flux capacitor to get back to 2015 only they have no way of fixing it because the Terminator has turned up and shot the car to **** so now they have to find the Holy Plot Hole before it's too late...

Went to see the first 2 in the cinema and loved them both especially the first which remains one of the best cinema experiences i ever had. The 3rd was ok but it felt somewhat cheaper than the first 2 and like they were running out of ideas. The 4th doesn't sound like it will be any good in my book but il keep an open mind.

I seem to remember enjoying 3 more than 2...not 100% though.

I preferred 3 by a huge margin. Felt 2 was aimless and messy but 3 gave JP more of a horror film vibe than a family film vibe and that made much more sense to me than the previous 2, given the subject matter. Sure, the awe of seeing the first will not be topped but I actually think 3 was closer to the dinosaur movie I really waned to see.

I was actually one of the few that enjoyed seeing them bring the T-Rex back and watching it escape and run riot all over the city. Overall i suppose JP2 was a bit aimless and i guess you would have to consider it weaker than 3 in the traditional sense but i just didn't enjoy it as much as the first 2 and to me it had a very B-movie feel. There were more than a few times where i felt some of the dinosaurs seemed to look a bit too artificial especially facially and almost like there was to much emotion put into their faces if that makes any sense.

                    3 definitely has a B-movie feel, you're right there.

And you know what? sometimes i like that B-movie feel with the Indiana Jones films being an example but for me it along with other things put me of JP3 a bit.

JP3 was goofy as ****. Fun dinosaur action, terrible everything else.

I liked 3. It is stripped down and without the over the top piffle of elements of the second one. It has a better balance. It does indeed feel cheaper, but I find the tone and pacing to be more appealing. Plus, Sam Neill is a more likeable lead than Goldblum, William H Macy puts in a good turn, and I find the kid far more watchable than the irritating gymno-brat of the second film. I also think that Grant's student is pretty good.

The Spinosaurus scenes are super - I know the phone thing got some stick, and stretches the boundaries of coincidence (when it rings at the perfect time for the beast to have appeared in front of the heroes), but I think it's a decent little feature. I think the pterodactyl bit is great - the sequence where the metal bridge shakes and the beast approaches from out of the fog is very effective, quite horror film-style menacing.

                          Nice film!

I saw JP3 at the cinema, was quite hyped at the time but came away disappointed. It was okaaaay just never reached the highs of the first one, at least the 2nd one had multiple raptors and T-rex's going ape ****.

The Spinosaurus was the only thing worth turning up for and making the raptors hyper intelligent and being able to reason with them . . . . . . not sure if that was a good move or not. Would've tied in nicely into the rejected 4th movie where they were gonna make dino-human soldier hybrids.

I wasn't hyped for JP3 whatsoever. That's probably why I enjoyed it so much.
