Yeah, I remember that interview where he revealed that, it gave me confidence that a real fan would bring it when it came to a reboot. The fact that there are multiple monsters in this kinda proves it to me rather than make it a one trick pony like the 98 movie.Comment

New 2nd trailer has leaked
FARK, looks great, the tone seems pitched perfect.
I know better than to expect amazing things from just a trailer (I'm looking at you Michael Bay!) but as an ol skool Godzilla fan who was disappointed with the 98 movie (wasnt everyone?) I cant help but to have high hopes for this. The good news is the director watched the same late night channel 4 season of godzilla movies as the rest of us UK fans

Im quite intrigued by the direction this seems to be taking. Certainly one of the more interesting 2014 releases. If this does well I reckon WB will axe any considerations for a Pacific Rim sequel rather than take the risk.Comment

To be honest, I'd rather a PR prequel than sequel anyway. We'd could scenes with loads of jaegers taking on Kaiju, back on topinc this film (at the moment) looks like it could piss on any other big robot/monster movie done before it?Comment

Trailers give so much away. I'd rather see the whole film in context rather than lose the impact when the trailers show all the best bits.Comment

The quality is very poor and I stopped watching halfway through. I'd like to see it in good quality. The part I did watch seemed like an incomplete edit - the sound was very bare and the timing of the footage seemed wrong, like it was an edit in progress. That said, what was there was good and there were no alarm bells on the content and not a hint of Broderick to be seen. But I suspect it was a work in progress not meant for public viewing.Comment

New trailer is alright. For western audiences a much darker proposition than PR or the old US version were. Interested to see how it comes across as the further trailers emerge. Still not convinced it'll do the $ business when it comes out but it's at least still shaping up to hopefully be the best US incarnationComment
