Oddly enough I came to this thread to say I have been listening to the Gish and Siamese Dream remasters. Siamese Dream in particular sounds absolutely amazing. It's like listening to it with a new pair of ears!

After Googling various stuff about the late Jimmy Savile, somehow found a download of Jerry Sadowitz's latest gig, quite surprised by how acerbic he still is at 50 (moreso than he was on the 'Total Abuse' gig). Really funny, nice to hear a comedian not *trying* to be shocking, just a madman defecating invective over his audience for the best part of 80 minutes, it's somehow cleansing to hear the man spout skewed filth so skilfully.
And what he has to say about the late Jimmy Savile...!

Saw this guy perform last night at an electro gig, check this track out - Thotbott: http://soundcloud.com/thotbottmusic/...del-9th-of-dec The section that starts around 22 minutes in is amazing.

Carrying on the Pumpkins chat, I read this 2-star review of the Pumpkins show in London a few weeks back.
Seems like the reviewer didn't like Corgan, his voice or his songs.
I'm not really sure why he went!
At least he enjoyed George Michael live...
What's the point in criticising lyrics nearly 20 years old for not making sense now?
Having just listened to the bootleg of the same show in France, I'm looking forward to the new album, Oceania (due around March).
BC refused to do a greatest hits set, which is partly frustrating, but I'd rather he still make new music. If he was just doing the hits when they reformed in 2005, we wouldn't have had corking tracks like "Doomsday Clock", "Tarantula" and "United States".
I particularly enjoyed "Oceania" and "Panopticon" when listening again, but it's difficult when hearing it for the first time at a concert.
Mind you, their Reading 1995 show was nearly half-full of unknown Mellon Collie tracks and all that stood out at the time was him singing about a rat in a cage, and that's now so popular, it's the track they closed the recent tour with!

David Sylvian - Brilliant Trees (Album) and a few selected hits, Bamboo Houses w/ Sakamoto etc.
As much as I love Japan & Sylvian, his current output is nearly impenetrable, though it does make one question what it actually is he's upto, or has he just enveloped into his own arsehole.
Brilliant Trees is a great album though (1984).
