I've been listening to Tidy Euphoria on repeat for the last few weeks - 3 CDs of hard trance/dance/techno and not a bad track amongst them.

He was a 'star' if that's the right word in his own right before VH, the Loud & Clear album I'm listening to is from the late 70's & is a live album & therefore a bit of a greatest hits if you will.
I actually own it on vinyl too, bought around the time of release.

He was certainly bigger on the other side of the pond than here where his following was quite small.
Saw him on his Standing Hampton tour in 81, still wear the tour t-shirt in bed!

...and that I guess is too much information

Sun Kil Moon - Ghosts of the great highway (ditto, by Mark Kozelek, one of my fave songwriters)
Pearl Jam - Pearl Jam (coz its the Pee Jay man!)
The National - Sad songs for dirty lovers (imagine Johnny Cash (rip) fronting REM)

Down - Nola (heavy as yo mumma's mumma, and twice as slow)
The Flaming lips - At war with the mystics ( 'yeah yeah yeah song' is the soundtrack to my summer)

So far its been Pantera (Vulgar Display of Power), and now i'm onto some Down (NOLA). I think I will follow this up with some Ayreon (Into the Electric Castle and The Human Equation) and then some Metallica (Kill em all, Master of Puppets) and maybe Damageplan.

And to finish the day off, the single best piece of music ever - all 30 minutes of Floppi - DreamChip Megamix II. Anything that has a chiptunes version of the Knight Rider theme is a winner in my book!

And a link to it, cos its awesome:
