What's everyone listening to today?

I'm just listening to the new Basement Jaxx album - I didn't even know they were bringing one out. It started quite well, but has gone a bit poo.

A bit like them perhaps.

Another album I've listened to quite a lot is the new Outkast album, Idlewild.
It's very different from Speakerboxx and is really an album album, one that hangs together nicely rather than just a load of tracks.

The production on it is emmense and the quality of the recording is extremely high - well worth hearing on a good system.

The tunes ain't half bad either.

Not feeling Idlewild at all, I liked Speakerboxxx lots though, and Prototype is one of my favourite tracks. Might grow to like Idlewild, but it just doesnt seem to the level of SB so far.

Listening to Peloton by The Delgados

****ing hell Seany! They are one of those bands (along with "The Living End") that I didn't think anyone else had heard of! Not my favourite album of theirs but they were brilliant.

Today I listened to the solo album by Nicky Wire (bassist in Manic Street Preachers) called "I Killed The Zeitgeist" which isn't as **** as you'd imagine, then the new Audioslave record "Revelations" which is okay, better than the last record (just) but not a patch on their debut.

All this talk of Ghostface has led me to dig out Ironman, which is my fave Tony Starks CD.

I think I'll stick on some Bob James later, too.
