Marvel Spends Big For Downey's Doom - Dark Horizons
It will cost Marvel $80m to have the Russo's direct the next two Avenger films and their hands at the helm was a condition Downey Jr mandated for his return. For his own return, he will be paid more than they are and will appear in both Avenger movies. It's also been confirmed that his Doctor Doom will not be a Stark variant.
