    Stranger Things 2
Enjoyed the revisit, still the weakest of the four runs but remains a fun enough arc

True Detective: Season 04 - Night Country
Always felt the first season was one of the most overrated, drudge of a shows whilst I hit the second season and bounced off early like many did. Skipped the third season as well so it was only the good reception and distinct set up that led us to give this fourth run a go. Easily the best season, actually really enjoyed this one which heavily takes its inspiration from a combination of Fargo and The Thing. Jodie Foster is Sheriff of a small Alaskan mining town, leading an investigation into the disappearance of the entire crew of a research station. It makes use of some decently pitched black humour, horror and supernatural imagery etc and remains intriguing till the end.

Season 2 of The Recruit - as enjoyable as the first but started to get very very silly, there was a part that reminded me of the A-team in that you have a million soldiers firing at a couple of escaping peeps and amazingly no-one gets hit. Very annoying. Whilst it does kind of delve into consequences it flip flops quite a bit and some of the decision making doesn't make sense in the context of the plot and character arcs. Anyway it was still a bit of fun and the psycho chick from series 1 it absolutely over the top wonderful. As it ended on yet another cliffhanger, I'd love to see a third season.

        Cobra Kai season 6

Great. That’s how endings should be done. A Johnny Lawrence redemption story from start to finish, with so many cheesy callbacks and nods to the source. A badass joy.

On Call: Season 1 (Amazon Original, Amazon Prime Video)

I watched this at the start of the year. An eight episode on-the-beat Police procedural drama set in Long Beach, LA. Made by the son of the creator of Law & Order. Starring an ensemble cast but mainly focused on the jaded/tough senior beat officer (Troian Bellisario, Pretty Little Liars) partnered up with an idealistic-but-naive rookie (Brandon Larracuente, Bloodline). Entertaining enough, if not entirely original with it - read: senior officer has possibly shady past, rookie has outside work life issues, clashes with higher up authority, etc. - all the cop show cliches you can think off. Critical reception to it was mixed. No word on if it will get a second season yet.

Black Doves: Season 1 (Netflix Original, Netflix)

Also watched this in January. Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw being surprisingly kick-ass as respective professional spy with mysterious past and accomplice handler/professional assassin wasn't what I was expecting. Sarah Lancashire also excellent as the mysterious head of said spyh organisation. The storyline and fight sequences kept me in suspense also. Looking forward to Season 2 dropping, whenever that might be.

Ninja Kamui (Adult Swim, Channel 4 On-Demand)

This dropped quite a while ago but I hadn't had a chance to watch it until recently. Feels like absolute western interpretation of Japanese anime tropes (mecha and ninja), ironically created by a Korean though! Also, the mix of hand drawn and CGI art gets incredibly ropey at times. Storyline is over-the-top gore and violence meets revenge arc storyline. Meh. Doesn't look likely to be back for a new season as the thirteen episode storyline felt like it had run its course.

            Stranger Things 3
Kids made easy work of the third run which is more fun than the second one if lighter on the horror

Adolescence - excellent from start to finish. Just give it a watch.

                Goosebumps: Season 01
Went in expecting nothing from it and came away pleasantly surprised. It's a really solid run which only falters in its last two episodes as the story goes on longer than it should but as a first run this is decent.

                  Last One Laughing UK (Prime)
This is as funny as everyone says it is.

It's a house full of comedians trying not to laugh for 6 hours.
Each person has to do a "Joker" performance to the others, but the general conversation is also really funny.
Oh man, if a single one of the contestants below make you laugh, this is worth watching.

That concept is easy... just watch any episode of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2015

Personally, if you dismiss it so easily, you're missing out.

Unlike Cats, where they're all having a laugh, some of the joy of LOL is that when you can't laugh, even the simplest of things can absolutely crack you up.
Quite often, then most innocuous of things can set them off and we've been struggling to breathe after some episodes.

We'll give it a go once we've wrapped up our current shows
We've really dropped off panel shows in recent years as the quality of the comedians has really dropped off in recent years

I think I nearly died during Bob Mortimers magic show was literally crying.

Last one Laughing sounds ace. Looking forward to watching that.

Watched the first episode of Severance this week … I can tell I’m going to love it straight away.

Watched the penultimate Last One Laughing, but it's so good, we've saved the finale for the weekend. Same with Reacher.

We did find clips of the episode of Travel Man where Bob Mortimer and Richard Ayoade are in stiches about Bob's business plan to create a backwards toilet using investment from Christian Slater.

Good luck with Severance. I caned it over Apple TV's free weekend. It's great, but drip-feeds you info with only major plot advances on the final 2 S1 eps.
I've heard S2 is a little better, but it'll be interesting to see how long they can sustain the show without answers/an end in sight, especially seeing the massive losses the platform makes!

SPOILER: The answers are all hidden in the carousel horse!

I wanted to watch Last One Laughing but guess what?

WTF Amazon Prime Japan? You have Last One Laughing from various countries but not the one that matters?
