Still a long way from troubling the guesses, the film more than doubled its earnings this week so has some momentum to it​

Aquaman 2 is a mess of a film, it's like they knew this and just put it out to die, the critics have not been kind, i cant see how its even at $255 million considering how bad other big franchises have done this year.

I think it's a mixture of the lack of choice at the cinema whilst people are off coupled with how much it resembles the original. Though there's massive drop off, if only 1/3 of the people who watched the first attend the second it bouys it up. Whereas with The Marvels it was too removed from looking like Captain Marvel 2 to do similar

Even Bob Iger said they over did it with the side stuff, The Marvels requires such a big investment im not suprised it bombed so hard, you would have to have watched 3 separate series just to get up to speed with the 3 main cast members, (Wanda Vision, MS Marvel, and Secret invasion) god knows what films you need to have seen to not miss anything but at this point it's more than 20.

Between the strikes, behind the scenes changes, the firing of Majors and the underperformance of recent films it'll be interesting to see what they announce later this year as the old scheduled line up is definitely out the window now.
