the only recent underwater shows have been Tide-Line Blue and some show i can't remember the name of as i delated it all after everyone stopped subbing it, had a talking dolphin in a robot suit and centred around a pirate submarine and undertwater mecha.

    edit...

found what i was meant Kenran Butou sai, i remember it started with 'Ken' and ended with something like 'Bai',

GSD epilogue/Final Plus - As expected mostly a recap expect the final 5/10 mins where we got some afters but it was still very disappointing, so much stuff not touched above it would annoy me more to list it. I suppose we can expect 3 season, but they'll have to have a character culling in the early episodes and i hope Shinn's got a bullet with his name on it.

      Blood+ ep12

freaky vampire mutant children, just what show needed

      School Rumble OVA2 -

again hit and miss, that caveman stuff was total rubbish. The highlight for me was

      "WHAT WILL IT BE"
"Smile" "a smile is free right"

and the Hamira/Yakumo extras is good to.

      Gantz manga 219-222

      HOLY COW!!

2 swerve's, first No Kishimoto!!! WTF!!! he bring's Nishi back from the dead instead, i never in a million years would have guess he to that and then to Have the MAN, the HERO finally get his freedom from gantz, not sure how this pan out without Kei leadership skills but im sure Gantz is going to **** him up somehow down the line to get him back in the game, i wouldn't be surprised if Kei's vamp Brother gets Kei involved somehow!! Kei vs the Gantzer's would be insane.

Watched the first OVA myself and overall I liked it. Not as good as some of the best episodes in the series but enjoyable nonetheless. I thought the bit with the seating arrangement was quite funny but the best bit had to be the hot springs part of the OVA. I don't expect them both to be absoletely hilarious throughout like some of the episodes in the main series but as long as they give me a few laughs I'll be happy. I'm just pleased to be getting more of it tbh.

Also finally finished watching Mai hime. What can I say? It's one of the best animes I've seen recently loved every minute of it. Some real surprises in it as well which caught me off guard on numerous occasions. I really enjoyed the ending as well. I can see what people are talking about with maybe it being a bit too cheesy, however I'm a sucker for happy endings and pretty much everything that I wanted to happen, did happen, so there's no complaints about it from me. As a result I was left quite fulfilled by the end of it which is rare at the end of a series. One of the only other ones that I can think of that left me with the same sort of feeling was Speed Grapher.

I only just started and finished watching the anime a week ago and damn, was it good. I purposely steered clear of the manga since I'd heard so many people complaining about how toned down and altered the anime had become in comparison to the source material. I enjoyed every single moment of it, and the new ending that Gonzo came up with wasn't bad at all; I was left feeling satisfied.

Then I started reading the manga afterwards and have only just caught up to date. Damn, is it one hell of a rollercoaster!

Like yourself, I couldn't believe he brought back that punk Nishi over Kishimoto. He probably thought the team left behind needed some of his knowledge and insight to continue surviving; after all, Izumi looks out for nobody but #1 in this story. I was also saddened how both Kei and Tae had their memories wiped, all those good times and bad times mean nothing now since they no longer even recognise each other... First ever manga to make my cry whilst reading too, was sooo happy to see Katou get revived; his death with the Buddah statue mission was too cruel.

Anime after the Buddha mission was big let down me having read the manga, it didn't hate it, but it could have been so,so,so much better had they followed the manga story line.

            manga spoilers..

indeed Katou and Kishimoto death inthe buddah mission along with Kei's girlfriend was really downer and then to top it off with that Alien mission right after was heart wretching watch Kei pushed in to deep, deep **** by himself after losing all his friends. The Kei/Tae relationship is the 2nd reason i kept reading the manga, it's one of the best created and her death at the hands of Gantz was awful, and after all that heartache and pain he bring's finally back to life and get set free but they don't know each other

Kei is my all time fav character, the way the character development gives him a backbone from so much despair is brilliant, and thanks to Izumi's incusion he always looks like the underdog and none-threat to the aliens and vamp's but he always get through, it a real shame to see him leave the main story arc even if it only for a short while.

But katou/Kishi return was much anticipated, shame we only got the one. I really don't know where the shows going now, Nishi back, Izumi is the number fighter now, wonder how many will survive the next mission and what it will be as now th public can see them and they still have the problem the vampires and the Aliens being peeved at the gantzer's killing them.

About most recent chapters in Gantz:

Apparently, the manga author is said to be growing tired of the story and wishes to wrap it up fairly soon. After all, we're 19 volumes in and we still don't know much more than we did from way before.

Kei was a great protagonist but having him return without any of his previous memories would be a bit ****ty. It literally would be back to square one for him and I don't think I could go through all that with him again. Unless of course, he somehow goes along the same path as Izumi did, though I never did quite get whether his mind was fully wiped or not. Bar Nishi's website and that mini Gantz he found in his room, Izumi still had far too much recollection of things to not be in the dark about it all.

How regularly do the scanlations come out approximately? I know it's serialised to come out in Japan one chapter per week, but how quickly do the various teams working on it get their releases out?

              Comment

the best are Shocwave, always HQ releases which why there still on 218, Illuminati are good enough for speed scanlator's, usually week behind the latest. i think 222 is the most recent being the christmas period is a holiday for most author's.

I wouldn't be surprised if it ends in the next 4/5 volumes, as they've gotten to the point of the public watching them fight. As for the memory wipe i think it more of a Memory Block which was why izumi remember's most of the stuff that went on before, Kei needs a memory jogging and he has moblie phone whith the gantzer's numbers on it and there's the possible situation Reika going to find him(but would he be the same Kei he grew to be or the selfish coward he was)

                  Suzuka 25:

Oh man, Yamato got owned; I counted 6 slaps from the Ice Queen altogether!

Kudos to Honoka for coming clean about Yamato and challenging Suzuka's affections for him. Definitely the character who's grown the most in the story.

                    indeed

that was one the most complete Slap down's i've ever since, if Yamato had any sense he would just totally give up on her, is this going to end onthe 26ep? doesn't seem like they would have enough time to repair the damage done, let alone have Yamato perform onthe track.

                    Comment

^ Agreed. I find it highly unlikely they'll wrap up the anime in a satisfactory way in ep 26 after all that's happened. Seems like this still a fair bit of stuff to deal with.

I can't believe she still is as cold as ever. At the start of the episode with the flashbacks and everything, I thought it might have signalled a change for the better in her character but unfortunately it seems to have gotten worse.

As someone else said on another forum if I was Yamato the series would have ended a long time ago and probably have been called Honoka In the last few episodes I really was questioning why he was still going after Suzuka after how she's been acting towards him. As I said I would have gone for Honoka or Miki and dropped all thoughts of getting together with Suzuka.

What I don't understand is all that time she was acting jealous(visibly so, I mean Miki picked up on it) when Yamato and Honoka were together. Yet when Yamato has become single again and confessed again that he still likes her, she keeps knocking him back.

Just caught up on my bleach (episode 62) and now I wanna catch up on my Bleach Manga, I got up to chapter 188 but I don't know any good sites to get it all off that are preferably the same release and high quality. I used to get Manga-Rain's releases from a site which I forgot the URL off. If anyone knows a decent Bleach Manga Torrent Track let me know, as I prefer BitTorrent over anything else as a method of downloading. Also if someone knows where to get the latest Naruto manga too

Also, I know it might have been posted about 30 pages ago. But is there anything currently out in Japan (that is being fansubbed) that is of notable quality, worth checking out?

                        Thanks.

You can get some direct from this page:

I think you can get them by registering at bleach7.com too.

Check the first post. Tobal posted some suggestions there. I'd recommend Shakugan No Shana, Noein, Aria, Paradise Kiss, Mushishi, Mai Otome, Black Cat and Blood+ from the current season. If you haven't already been watching them then there's Eureka 7, Eyeshield21, Shuffle and Suzuka from previous seasons.

I would say the same as zappster, with the additon of Ichigo Mashimaro and School Rumble if you can find it.

and speaking of Ichigo Mashimaro ep7 spoilers

More goodness, lots more flat chested jibes, Miu cigarete experiment, Ana's 'English' and Miu stealing Nobue Bikini top rocked as did the punishment afterwards

One Piece 169/170 - OMG a new intro, the 1st in 168 episodes animation's nice but the song's not very good.

Idaten Jump ep1 - don't download it it a big steaming pile of horse **** that's even worse than Capeta, it more Capeta + M.T.B.*+ one huge advert for toy bike's.
