, it was really cute to see Kaede welling and crying telling Rin all things he should be doing to look after himself, and slutty Sia making a welcomed comeback. I just knew Asa was going drop at the end it was going far to well for Rin and looks like we?ll get her extra back story or is it her mothers??? Very interesting, I hope they don?t kill her off.

nothing much happened in 17 other than Nemu?s total(sad)dedication. 18 is brilliant I didn?t expect the return of Sakura and expected a swerve for the entire show, how noob of me!! Nice to see Nemu and Sakura finally make up, wonder if she?s become a full mage in the 2 years away, it would give Asia a direction.

Finally caught up with Da Capo SS 13 - 18 myself today. A good set of episodes, best being 15 and 18 in my view.

Kotori being coaxed into fixing up dinner for Jun'ichi was awfully cruel given the result, despite there being no malice at all from Aisia's part. I'm a bit miffed too that she's given up so easily and totally agree that Nemu's a bit hard to cheer on now with her somewhat new demeanor.

18, I was almost disappointed that the busty blonde wasn't Sakura actually, and instead, we get some bratty looking kid again. I wonder if she'll be a permanent fixture from here until the end of the series. Also, anybody else put off by the sudden increase in gratuitous Aisia fanservice?

Watched a short OAV series last night called Pet Shop of Horrors, anybody else seen this before? 4 episodes about a freaky pet shop in China town in some nameless American city, which deals in unusual pets. Best episodes were undoubtedly 3 and 4; shame there's so little of it though I suppose it's better it ended on a high rather than outstaying its welcome.

Just been reading through wannabefansubs' forums and found out that they are planning to sub the two part OVA which was released recently. Also there seems to be rumours that the OVA confirms a season 2 of school rumble to be aired spring 2006. Fingers crossed it's true and that it will be of a similar quality to the first season if true.

Got that one on the download now with GSD epilogue (went for Hiro's weighting in over 600mb).

Watched the last 3 three episodes Gad Guard after 2 years of 23ep's, someone reposted the series and i got the final 3eps.

Sad the way the Gad disappeared one by one, and they didn't give katana Girl a proper send off either. And although it took 26eps they main couple finally got it together, which was pretty much the only reason i was watching it in the end.

Mai-Otome ep12 was very enjoyable episode

and as i thought, she's still as girl and Mai brother is still ill, hopefully we'll see Mai soon, there needs to be some more ass kicking!

Pasadise Kiss and Noein continue on as strongly as they started, blood+ is finally picking up again with this Diva stuff ep11 spoilers

i loved that bit at the end when her new friends catches her in the loaned dress cut up to hell and bleeding everywhere, Sai fighting style still sucks quite badly, she need a major powerup if she's to fight without Brandon Heat to save her.

ES21 ep27 sucks, Naruto filler continues to blow ass.

Hi there,

I know pretty much feck-all about anime but want to get into it as I like what I've seen so far. I recently bought a box set of 10 dvds with random anime series on them, just to get a taste for different styles.

Could anyone here give me an idea of what to expect from these please? Also, are they popular, good/bad etc?

Adventures of Mini Goddess - Not watched this one but the goddess series are watchable

Haibane Renmei - Very good, drama about human's with angel wings due to sins, in what i think is Purgatory, very deep, and a total must if you like Heaven/hell ype stuff

Chobits - romance/comedy about a guy finding a prototype robot, good back in the day, should still be watchable although the ending is a bit skinn crawling bad.

Gungrave - very good, forgot the 1st episode its total **** and is nearly nothing like what the rest of the show is about. Which is Mafia family stuff and Harry and Bandon growning up together before the sega game and during it, the ending is ace as is the Betrayal.

Serial Experiments Lain - More deep stuff, classic show about possible life after death.

Tenchi Muyo - in general the series is quite average harem(one guy, 5/6 love interests) with some action here and there to spice it up, there series don't sit in the same universe as each other do you be getting a retelling of the same story with different theme's, although the recent series(GPX and Ryo-Ohki!) have had continuation with the 1st series, the movies are all over the place. Give it a miss unless your fan as its hard to tell what links to what.

Lunar Legend Tsukihime - based of pc game and novels, not much in it for the none-fan, as without insider knowledge of the games the show leaves alot up to the veiwer to already know so it can skip a crap load o detailed inthe back stories and technical bits to the fights.

Paranoia Agent - Crazy, creepy show follow a series of character being attacked and maybe released from there baggage by the golden bat boy. Up there with FLCF i maddess, it never really explained how this unreal events happen, just why it happened inthe first place to get the ball rolling, if you happy with that kind of ending.

R.O.D The TV - Top quality, best of watching the RoD OVA (3 episodes) first to get an understand of the plot whenthe 'real' cast turns up. Even without it it worth watching.

Texhnolyze - underground world, mafia, gang warfare, sick ideals and crazy bloke to work his way through it all.

Finished watching School Rumble ova, not a new story but a set of stuff filling in gaps from season, not all that good but redeems itself with a pant wettingly funny Hot spring scene set after the 'test of Courge' (the one where harmia ends up with Tenma but she get the wrong idea again, and he grabs Eri's cloth which is covering her up, by accident). The look on Eri's face is priceless and as said is worth the download just for that. I haven't read any off the manga yet and i'm putting it off more now with the 2nd season coming, i really want Eri and Harima together

I really enjoyed the School Rumble OAV because it was a bit different from the norm. The animation was definitely a step up from the series as expected, and the first Yakumo story was a joy to watch. Can't wait for the next OAV which will hopefully be with us in the next few days.

More good news(possible rumour) that I read up on is that there will be a second season of Aria If true I'll be chuffed, as Aria has been one of the surprise packages for me. I didn't know all that much about it or have that much interest in it a few months back but that all changed after watching a few episodes.

I remember looking at the latest New Type (Dec I think) in a shop and on the back there was an advert that caught me eye about some people trapped underwater in this dome and there time was running out to escape. But I cant remember the name of it, so if any one has New Type or knows what this anime (or manga) might be then Id love to know.
