REC is part of the winter season lineup which IMO has been pretty poor especially when you compare it to the fall season lineup (which included stuff like Aria, Paradise Kiss, Black Cat, Shakugan etc...).

Hantsuki has been released by AnimeU now but I watched Akai Anime's version which was very good and IMO better than AnimeU's overall. Video quality was better, typesetting was better about the only thing that I preferred in AnimeU's versions so far has been their editing and choice of words for the subs.

Yuuichi got smacked down with reality there, even if it was over board from an on-duty drunken docter beating on a sick patient, i still dislike him alot. just like you lot im not sure if this will get a happy ending but i would like one with some pain and very close calls involved.

Mushishi 11-12ep, more great little stories. the guardian episode almost felt like i was watching parts of Princess Mononoke, and ep12 gave us Ginko's past which setup him up nicely to become an Mushishi, one more ep to go and not a single episode has fallen below 'Great'.

Eureka7 ep29 -

Animation noticeable dived a bit, but if no actions going it's understandable. Plus it about time we finally learn just what the hell his Father was up to and what Eureka really is, god knows how they'll explain how that huge ball of stuff becomes a person and where his sister fits into this.

Daphne in the Brilliant Blue ep21-20 - im guessing not alot of people follow this, old show from 03/04 that got discontinued by every group after it was licensed around ep6... it's not that brilliant, but i like the interaction between the girls and the hope that Maia will on day do something ace. So after 20episodes the main story about this under achieving girl gets underway,

and we get some quite cool stuff(last survivor of City that never surfaced and she +100 years old), even if she doesn't gain any good super power/skills like i hoped when she got her memory back.

I'm hoping VA finish the last couple of ep's quickly, so i can end this anime.

Not worth making another message over but it surprised my they made a PVC model of Bellemere, One Piece Fans should know who i mean. I quite strange for what i think is the 1st proper 1/6-1/7-1/8 scale model for One Piece, everything else is gasphon or small action figures, to choose her.

Started watching Lemon Angel Project and yeah, totally agree about the voice casting for most of the girls sounding a bit off. Chances are, they're probably either real singers like the voice actress for Mitsuki in Full Moon wo Saga****e, or simply inexperienced voice actresses with singing doubles.

Has anyone got the full fansubbed set of naruto as i have watched a few odd episodes & i love it (why did i leave it sooooooo late) but i dont have a fast enough connection to start getting them all now. Plus i doubt the torrens would still be active.

Id pay if someone could burn the whole lot onto dvd's so i could see the whole fantastic thing.

Eye Shield 21 ep34, animation been pretty piss poor recently and continues that trend ><, but at least Sena's bringing Entertainment and his new speed and what I?ll call ?level 1? Ghosting technique rock (as do the sound effects), reminds me of the current one Piece arc and the super speed tech those CP9 agents use

the 8 quick stamps, seems similar to Sena move, I think keeps his speed high by taking super fast small steps when changing direction.

Anybody started watching REC yet? I found the whole setup really fascinating; an anime set in the world of voice actors and actresses. First episode has a couple of surprises, especially when

the lead male beds the girl in less than 10 minutes into the episode

. Full of Audrey Hepburn references too for classic film fans.

Just seen it myself and I really enjoyed it. Seems exactly like my kind of thing. Nice and short at 12 minutes per episodes as well.

I was actually quite surprised as you said, to see them get it on so early

. The voice actress playing Aka was pretty good as well. I'd imagine it might be a difficult role to play as in the first episode at least, she was putting on a number of different voices and we haven't even got to a recording studio setup yet. Shame that it's only rumoured to be 9 episodes long. Wouldn't have minded a 24 minute 13 episode series myself.

Saw Binchou-tan episode 1 as well. It's another 12 minutes series. It basically follows the everyday life of this little girl called Binchou-tan who lives alone in a house in some mountains. It's got an Aria-like pace i.e. very relaxed and slow moving and not a lot happens really. I don't think there's much of a story to it(if there will be at all). Judging by the OP though there'll be some more characters introduced soon as the first episode focused mainly on Binchou-tan and her introduction. Did I mention that it's almost sickeningly cute? It's very easy on the eyes with some nice looking scenery although I must say the 3d stuff in the beginning of the episode was a bit crap. I might follow it purely because most of the releases have been sub 100MB and it's only 12 minutes per episode. I'll certainly check out a few more episodes though before I decide.

Been catching up with Mai Otome recently(up to episode 11 now). So glad I watched Mai Hime before carrying on with the episodes I'd already seen, not just for the fact that Mai Hime was IMO a fantastic series but also because I'm now seeing all the links/nods to Mai Hime in the episodes, particularly in the previews when they're usually talking nonsense. The show itself has been pretty good as well.

Rec certainly seems cool, and Binchou-tan might be ok too.

also saw the first episode of rescue wings the other day. nothing really happens at all in that episode, but it seems like a pretty interesting premise for a show, so i'll be looking out for the next few to see how it progresses.

Yanime (School Rumble, Ichigo 100%) have started scanlating the manga which is nice. The tone in the manga feels quite different to that of the anime; feels a tad more smutty.

Naruto?s filler ?ep172, is that a reuse of the animation used when naruto leaks Red chakra?I think it is, still this story arc stinks, all every filler arc so far even if they trot out Nine tails Naruto and Gambunta(sp?), the filler does end in April right?

Blood+ ep18, again not much that interesting, just watching it as something to do, would wish they would stop fannying around and get to the ass kicking.

Real Helling OVA ep1 ? much the same as preview with extra bit put it to make it flow better.

a lot of backstory to the previous war that fills in why the badguy?s and anti-heroes want to the technology, badyguy for making there own otome, and Black vally for a cure. Also looks like Nina?s willing to send a few pearl?s to there graves, the bitch.

After you had such positive words for it at the start of the new arc as well
Anyway yeah the filler should be finishing in about 7-8 weeks time.

Bad news first, it's rumoured(don't know if it's been confirmed) that Mushishi will be cut short to 20 episodes. Incidentally it's the same tv station that messed around with Samurai Champloo which IIRC they cancelled and then started up again. Some people are speculating that their might be a few more unaired episodes on the DVDs when they are released. I for one hope this rumour isn't true as I've been recently catching up with it and I'd like as much Mushishi as possible to be honest. It's been brilliant so far.

Awesome news about REC. Fingers crossed it proves to be true.

The Full Metal Panic OAV is reportedly gonna be a standalone episode following a day in Tessa's shoes. It's possible that they'll convert a chapter in the manga into this episode; she gets lost and ends up going on holiday somewhere if I recall.
