Ouran ep5,

the Twins plan to get to go around Haruhi?s house was pretty ingenious, although Haruhi many get the last laugh, nice little scene right at the end where the twins concede for the first time in their life?s, there?s an actual threat to there relationship. Hope we do get the Host Club visiting Haruhi house, with plenty of ?Rich bastard? comments.

AirGear ep4-5, Not sure why I watch it, animation is pants, stories not brilliant and full of stupidity. But I like the characters and the fan service of which there was loads with that Simica bird.

I went back and watched ep17 just incase I had, but nope. They cut aload of stuff out that I certainly don?t know about Sakura/Rin relationship, that boxing guy with the glasses. And skimmed over Sakura kidnapping. And no-one mentioned anything about Emiya?s blades now looking like Archer?s swords!!

One Piece movie 5 ? Best one so far, in story and fights. They also managed to make at 1 memorable character I hope they use in the main story, think his name was Rudy the hippy looking, baseball cap tilted swordsman.

If you watch the scene where Emiya makes those blades for the first time in episode 17, Rin does say some thing like "Kanshou...Bakuya...No way..." which I'm assuming are the names of those swords he made. So she obviously recognizes them. I thought she might have said some other stuff but who knows, possibly saving it for a future episode, or more importantly concerned with keeping herself alive. Don't think they really skimmed over the kidnapping though, I mean it was a sort of cliffhanger for the end of ep17. They(Caster and the glasses guy) made them think they were after Ilya but instead went for Sakura, it was all there in the last few minutes of that episode.

If you think back to the Rin/Sakura thing, there were a few hints. Such as way back in episode 3 or 4 where Rin first moves into Emiya's house and she meets Sakura in the morning and actually calls her "Sakura" which IIRC is only used if you're particularly close to someone or being rude and I don't think she was being rude there. Not to mention that to us it had seemed like the first time they'd met, yet she still knew her name. I guess we still don't know the specifics of the whole thing though, again possibly being saved for a later flashback or something.

Ohran 5 -

One of my favourite bits had to be the food fight where one of the twins used Tamaki as a human shield. Also loved the bit at the end where you see what was written on the teddy bear and their whole plan was revealed. Renge's reaction to the 4 way over Haruhi was pretty funny as well

As for Air Gear I'd put it in the same class as stuff like Kage Kara Mamoru(although admittedly this show has less fanservice), Amaenaideyo! and even Tactical Roar. One of those mindless shows which require little thoght to watch and enjoy, usually loaded with fanservice. One of my guilty pleasures should I say.

Couple of other shows to catch up on, 2nd episode of Good Witch, one piece 185 and Keroro gunsou 14-15.

Strawberry Panic ep4/5 ? Fisherprice Maria-sama is the only way to describe it, with x10 the amount of Yuri(that?s the correct term right?). Still I?m enjoying it, they introduced 2 new main?ish characters in ep4 which was very campy through out, followed by ep5 brings them altogether with 2 more new girls and saw a lot more comedy. Guilty pleasure in Maria-sama absence.

It's enjoyable I'll give it that but not one I'd readily recommend. Guilty pleasure sounds about right along with Air Gear and Himawari which has been pretty decent so far and makes a nice replacement for Kage Kara Mamoru as my ninja show for the season. Need to catch up with eps 4 and 5 of SP, also possibly check out Maria-sama. I've got it but just not got round to watching it yet. If that is a better show than SP I'll give it a shot sooner rather than later.

Suzumiya Haruhi ep 6(ep9 in the proper timeline) -

As per usual Kyon came out with some cracking lines, my favourite of which had to be the "Which one's the beach ball line?". As for the episode it was surprisingly darker than the rest of the series so far, surely it's got something to do with the fact that Haruhi wanted this exact thing to happen and as we know what she wants is usually what she gets. I'm wondering though if this whole thing might not be a setup by Itsuki to keep her entertained. Next episode is episode 8 which is the one before this one so it could be a while before we get answers to what happens, although I'm hoping it's not too far away.

. The series has yet to disappoint. Even the less funny episodes usually have other stuff going on that keeps me interested.

Maria-sama is brilliant, art and animation is top notch. Great, great characters, funny comedy and some nice drama when the story demands it.

Suzumiya Haruhi ep6, not much comedy this time round, but the story kept things up instead.

I think the same, its either that guy is really dead because Suzumiya wished something to happen or this is one of those murder mystery weekends? also I liked the fan service up skirt shot for Suzumiya

Thing with the shirts was sickening funny, in trying to turn him into a laughing stock he became a fashion pinup, and all that stuff about group dating and finding out why Mayama had all those girl?s numberson his phone, class.

Saw two more new shows, which I think means I've covered the first episodes of most of the new shows now, both of which I'll be keeping up with.

Jyu Oh Sei ep1 - animation was ace, nice action and overall a very good first episode. Didn't like the OP though, the song in particular just doesn't seem to fit. Also don't like parts of the character designs, most notably the noses which just look really weird. The second anime by BONES this season and pretty much as expected it's the same quality I've come to expect from them. Story was interesting enough, basically what seems like two twins, Rai and Thor, framed for the murder of their parents and sent to a planet called Chimaera which is basically a place all criminals are sent to serve out their sentences. Very dangerous place, pretty much covered in plantlife all of which seem to be carnivorous.

Would have been even better if the brother had killed his own twin in order to increase his chances of survival. Certainly would have been an unexpected move for me if he had done that. Not to mention that his twin was getting on my nerves at the time. Shame it didn't happen.

. I watched Paragon's sub which was good enough for me.

Saiunkoku Monogatari ep1 - Set in a feudal japan setting with made up countries and stuff(I think) much like Utawarerumono only there doesn't seem to be any fantasy elements(yet). Decent art and animation. Pretty boys abound but so far it doesn't seem to be *that* type of anime, although there was some talk of the emperor being into men. . Basically this girl from a rich/famous family who have fallen on hard times, decides to take up the offer of a job from one of the emperor's advisors without knowing what it entails because he's offering loads of money. Basically she's going to be the new empress who has the job of setting the emperor straight. Apparently he's really lazy and not interested in governing his country etc.. Found it to be quite funny at times as well. Judging from the first episode it's going to be romance or something, which is fine by me as I'm a big fan of that sort of stuff. Subbed by Ayu, no complaints from me.

Both shows are definitely worth checking out the first episodes of IMO. Got some more stuff to check out after this, mainly Honey and Clover special, Angel Heart 14 and Good Witch of the West eps 2 and 3.

Blood+ - ep25-29, im really enjoying this now, the plots starting to really get going and saya kicking ass when needed, though as yet to produce the Sif and Chevalier Flash Step (to steal a Bleach term). Kai being less of an asshole and im hopefully he'll get a powerup of somekind as i can see him fading away, when the fighting Intensifies.

Shame the Iren'e died, liked her character and the Sif in general and things a certainly going to come to head soon with Solomon's brother back and maybe a full on attack on red shield HQ.

We also got a new intro for ep26 and it was up to the usually high standard, very arty... music ok,but not as good as OP2.

Ouran host club, ep6 - Enjoyable,but not so many lol funny moments like previous eps.

Aria the Natural ep3/4 - more goodness, ep3 being one my fav eps from both season's with Aika asking Al out to watch the meteor shower and being cute for once , postman stuff was very lazy with nice with campy finish.

GunXSword ep17-26 - Really good finish to a show that start out like trigun with mech's. 17ep was some dammed good filler fan service shame about the dammed censors popping up everywhere, after that it got serious and we got fight after fight and some proper nuts like action from Van, Ray,Fasarina and the clawman.

Ray stole the end for me with his kickass toe for toe fighting with Fasarina with nothing but "normal" weapons, Ray also got perhaps one from my favourite deaths, the bullet to stop the the world being destory for 47mins and his look of satisfaction from (his point of view) destroying the clawman's dream was priceless. Clawman didn't put much of fight up, just went crazy and Van mercilessly cut him in half, and i like that Van didn't have some kind of 2nd coming thought process after taking his revenge and just on how he always did. Shame there wasn't much to the ending, would have liked to have seen more than a grown up Wendy, and Van crashing in on her... i would have really like to have seen what happened to kamen, Michael/Fasarina, Ray brother and the gymnastic's girl.

School Rumble S2 ep6 - lots and lots of LOL funny, fav's being pretty much the entire play

School Rumble2 episode 6 was a great episode again. I think you pretty much covered the best bits.

Good Witch of the West eps 2 and 3 - Getting really good IMO. What actually occurs in the first couple of episodes has all been seen before. Ep 3 for example

I'm sure everyone has seen at least one program with a new character being introduced to a rich school setting only for that character to be bullied because of their background wealth etc... The thing that surprised me is that it is a lot darker than those programs. I mean 3 episodes in and we've already had our first death which was pretty shocking.

. Have to say it's been pretty funny in parts as well, episode 3 being the highlight

When Firiel reads Adale's novel about her brother and Roux being in love and the images that come to mind. LOLed at that part, plus there was the bit at the end where Roux joins the school. From that bit it looks like Firiel's going to have some backup in school now so things should get even more interesting

. Seen fansubs from both groups now(A-Keep and ureshii) you can't really go wrong with either.

Blood+ ep26 - big improvement on the previous episodes where I was sat there at times wondering why I kept watching the show. Any other show and I'd probably not have continued past the 14th episode which is about the point I first got bored by it. I've seen this far so I'll probably watch through the rest of it now. Not one I get asap but one that I get round to watching eventually.

Got loads of stuff to catch up on now that I'm on holiday and I've not really got access to the internet to get any files. Took a few of them with me though so hopefully I'll be able to catch up on AMG season 2 and Aria season 2 finally.

Suzumiya Haruhi ep7 ?

lots of good commentary from kyon about the ZoZ logo, Asahina(and her grabbing him) and the ?room of evil?. Itsuki quoting Full Metal Panic sequels for his attacks gave an unexpected ?woot? moment, and his explanation of why the club room is ?normal? because there so many unnatural forces vying for control it somehow balances out.

Suzumiya Haruhi ep7 -

I think that rivals the first episode for some of the funniest bits of commentary from Kyon. Particular favourites being the bits with Ashahina Mikuru when she's pressed up against him, plus the comments about her when he's pissed off about his exams something like "at least I'll be able to ogle Asahina-san for some peace of mind" . Animation remains top notch. The nods to Full Metal Panic had me smiling. Some interesting bits with the story as well in this episode. Basically had a bit of everythng that makes the series so good. Definitely one of the best episodes so far. Looking forward to the next one to find out what happened on the remote island

Karin - Don't know if anyone else has kept up with the series but I've been following a.f.k. subs(the ones doing Haruhi) who finished subbing this last week. Very good show overall and one of the better romance/comedy animes I've seen. I liked the way the show ended but I can see why some people might have had some complaints about it. In the end it ties things up nicely but leaves it open for a possible second season which would be ace. Surprisingly light hearted for a final episode especially given the nature of some of the previous episodes. ep 24 -

All throughout the episode I was thinking is it me or are Karin's breast just getting ridiculously large. There's one scene in particular where they look huge. Of course this was before the reveal about the ceremonies effects, so at least there's some explanation for it. I thought it was just the shows producers adding in that little bit more service for the final episode or the animators going crazy.

Usui finally uses Karin's name. The scene as a whole was quite touching.

Laughed out loud at the nosebleed for gramps. That whole scene was just hilarious, especially when I thought it was going to be one of those emotional scenes with Karin "dying" in Usui's arms. Same goes for the episode really, it was alot more humorous than I thought it might be for the finale, especially given the events in the first half of the episode.

Satisfied with the happy ending as well. No complaints from me in that regard. I did think at one point that it might have been Karin's dream because of the way her family were dropping like flies. Good to see they all came back including Elda

No real progress with Winner or Maki. Karin and Usui at the end seemed to be a lot closer, with Karin now referring to him as Kenta-kun. Usui's mum now works at the same place as them. Winner still after Karin as well.

found it completely by accident while looking for random 720p material to see how my laptop handles it. seen about 2 minutes from the start of episode 4 (where the bunny girl draws rips the guy's picture and draws him another) and that's it. of course i've been won over by the high res and 5.1...

is it actually any good? it looks kinda groovy!

i don't watch anime hardly ever, have never watched an entire season of anything, although i have seen a few eps of GITS SAC series 1 and am proceeding slowly with Paradise Kiss after a mate recommended it (mainly cos i'm ga ga for the tommy feb6 song at the start ) although it's really girly!

Ergo Poxey is is very good, usual bleak humanity on its way out on some devastated planet (could be earth but its never mentioned). Cue monsters, andriods, and sheep like humans and one crazy guy that doesn't know what he is, some Girl who handles a shotgun like a pistol, and that cute little andriod girl.

Reminds me of Wolfs Rain.
