the live-action movie of death note. i doubt its going to be any good though, its got that pathetic shuya from battle royale in it.

The trailer looks faithful to the story, it could be awsome, I mean it's not as if it's US made I wonder if it'll be part of the Fright Fest things they do in London during the summer? My friends go to those and I'd totally go to see this. I thought there already was a movie actually but I must have got it mixed up with NANA.

It's been fairly well recieved in Japan, and there is a second one on the way, if it's not out already. I've just started watching the anime recently, and I'm really enjoying it. Light is such an utter bastard, but you really want to see how far he goes with his plans. I'm six episodes into it now - can't wait to see what happens next, so it's just as well I've a couple of the manga volumes to get through.
I didn't think I'd be interested in the show at all as I'm more into the giant robot stuff and some of the more insane shows, (like that Keroro Gunsou - that's pretty mental at times ) but I'm hooked on it now.

Can someone tell me how much of the story the review gives away? I'm up to date with the anime (episode 9) and don't want to hear anything I haven't seen.

Ostrog - when you've seen episode 7 go back a page or two and read our discussion about it, I'd love to hear more peoples take on the show especially that episode.

I'm the same, I don't wanna see the film if it starts giving away stuff in the anime.

Actually, what I mentioned could be a big spoiler, but since I'd read that review before checking out the series and it didn't ruin it for me, I'd say it's not too big a deal.

Ah when you said that I knew who it was, already read that on another forum when people were comparing to the manga. Quickly stopped reading that forum since they were talking about the manga a little too much.

EDIT: Just read the review, didn't realise the film was already made and released It does sound really good and the review doesn't spoil anything. I wanna see it but I have to wait for the anime to finish!

Oh. My. God. There's going to be a DS game based on it!!! I've found no info but it's mentioned on several sites and listed on Play-Asia.

Not IMO. To be honest I'm wondering why Ostrog even went to the trouble of putting it in spoiler tags. It basically says <character you've already come across in the anime> has a more major role and that's it.

I was being a bit cautious there, for anyone who hadn't seen those episodes yet.(like me) But I see everyone here's pretty much up to speed so far.

And now I've seen eps 7 to 9. Brilliant stuff. Though from the tense episode 7 was, and the bombshell dropped in ep 9, I think 8 got lost in the middle somewhere. T'was good, but it was eclipsed by the other two. Ryuk does love his apples, doesn't he?

just finished watching the first movie. the subtitles are shockingly bad, i recommend you wait it out....well until a better group like toriyamaworld release it. it ends where the current anime is at, so there arn't any real spoilers. Where it differenciates from the anime series make it pretty good(main reasons were that it was a film). The ending was fantastic, i won't mention it that would really be spoiling the film even if you are to date with the anime. The acting was top notch aswell as the cinematography and lighting. what i said previously about Tatsuya Fujiwara i take it back, he was solid throughout.

It ends where we're at now? Now I really wanna see it to see how that makes sense but I'll wait. I thought it had been commercially released with English subs, the site I read that on must have got that wrong.

Had a Nana marathon last night/this morning and because I'd downloaded them in a chunk I thought the last episode (of the anime, I know there's loads of manga) was 13!!! IT CAN'T END THERE! I was so happy to discover more

Hey guys not sure if im allowed to ask but where are you getting the Death Note episodes from i havent found them on my normal sites. (PM me if you dont wanna post it).


Also ive not seen any Naruto since 155 or so im just wondering if its still just filler or if anything good is happening yet. Really started to get bored of it but im thinking i might start watching it again.
