Naruto filler still going(ep211..) advertisements for Naruto:HC(you don't wanna know what that stands for ) aka "Naruto post timeskip" seem to point to early spring'07 so we should get Kakashi Gaiden around jan/feb.

which is the main reason i stopped watching it. it isn't even good filler, they are fighting mundane badguys that wouldn't last a day against them in the proper storyline. its laughable.

please someone keep me informed once it gets back on track, it was great when it was. i enjoyed it then.

i finished watching the 2nd term of school rumble last night. does anyone have any ideas when the next one is going to be shown?
also wouldn't mind reading the translated manga, any one got any idea where i should start. i dont really want to start at the beginning, i don't think its that easy to find aswell.

I need to find School Rumble manga myself, but it hard to find my only bet it finding a torrent or a Irc server with them all on.

Black Lagoon ep21 - gah! i can that end if when all the fire works are about to go off, can't wait till the next episode.

Revi and Ginji together should be nuts, also that girl total a nasty beating to, wasn't expecting that.

Mai-Otome Zwei ova1 - woo more Mai-XXXX, great clean art and animation (even down the extra fan service boob bouncing), still disappointed antsy doesn't call out her special attacks instead she still grunts or yells, i want hear engrish for 'Bolt from the Blue' in the same way they yell materialise(Natsuki does it dammit). Shame Natsuki always get screwed over when she gets to use her Otome powers, we've never seen her go full tilt(includes Mai to), 3 more ova's to come and im looking forward to each one.

              Hmm...

Nana is set for 50 eps fyi. There was some confusion early on as to how long it was going to be but that usually seems to be the case with a lot of shows. For example Black Cat was rumoured for 52 eps then 26 and then it finished at something like 23 or 24 eps. Although sometimes the ep count is known in advance too...

Re: sites to check for anime torrents and stuff. There's also tokyotosho which is my preferred site.

Re: SR manga. It doesn't seem to be that hard to find. Quick search on SR brought up a number of torrents for most recent manga chapters. Unless of course you meant the earlier chapters. If there's enough interest I'll see what I can do with regards to getting a hold of it. Not promising anything mind.

And now I'm going to cry a little more at the lack of time I have for shows...

I did enjoy the first episode of Zwei immensely. I'd forgotten all of the cast's names since it's been a fair while since I finished up watching Otome. Looks like a pretty dark story to come if things continue this way. Also looks like a slow drip-feed of episodes too, next one's due out end of February...

Question for owners of Robotech: The Macross Saga on DVD

Is it true the Opening and Closing credits for each episode have new music?

I'm considering purchasing the DVDs but if the classic original 1985 theme and ending music have been changed, then I want nothing to do with them, quite frankly.

It might be a case of the english audio track having new opening and ending music whilst the japanese track has the original. I came across this whilst having a look at some old Patlabor TV series files I had on my computer. Switching between the audio tracks gave noticably different music in the opening at least. This doesn't bother me as I usually watch with the japanese audio and english subtitles (English audio is mainly for curiosity for me). Just a guess mind, you'll probably want it confirming elsewhere.

The music is the same, only the visuals have been changed. Instead of incorporating scenes from the different series into one sequence, each arc (Macross saga, The Masters, and New Generation) shows bits from that particular series. I preferred the old titles myself.
I'd recommend picking up the Protoculture collection set if you can find it, but if you're only after the Macross eps you could seek out the remastered versions. You could go for the earlier Legacy sets which have loads of extras, but the video quality's not that great. Those ones do have the original opening titles you remember though.
Another thing I should mention if you're concerned about the sound is that alot of the sound effects were changed for the remastered versions so they'd sound nicer on a surround set-up. All the older noises are still in there, but buried under new fancier 5.1 audio and such. Not a big deal for some, but if you just want to see the show as it was back then, I figured I should mention it.

Checked out the first episode of this and thought "OMG THAT'S ME!!"* so much that I feel bad watching it! Gonna continue though cos I need to see if this guy's life gets turned around.

Not talked about NHK in a while, in that time i managed to catch up with the manga, so i have both stories going at the same time, and both a going there separate ways with the anime looking to finish of the story to an unfinished story... Quite a few differences mainly being Sato's drug uses and Misaki's mental heath problems turning up ahella lot sooner than in the anime and well as events unfolding differently, with the manga coming off alot better than the anime for the most part(i prefered the offline meeting inthe anime more than the manga) and it pacing is super fast, there no traveling from A to B like the anime, just A then B no inbetween bits which i found refreshing.

Ep22 - Show now totally gone off from the manga now with it looking end it soon, hope it doesn't turn into a Gantz style mess, its enough having to put up with the dodgy animation and art.

Another good Death Note episode, I do like how they keep things moving along and don't really allow it to stagnate, which they easily could with such a premise.

watched the first 2 eps of code geass last night. a new mecha anime by sunrise and clamp. It certainly is different and the main enemy being ol britannia (which for some reason is labeled in america, maybe we took out the yanks). I quite enjoyed from what ive seen so far, has anyone else started to watch this yet?
