What is it with this show (Clannad), i know the japanese don't like to be happy. But this is friggen rediculous. One of the most depressing blubbering shows in a long time. I love it!

watched ep1-4 of it, its ok... art is decent and the robots are CGI. Basically the story so far is manmade experiment ****s up the sky with nanomachines making flight impossible, this effects the water(somehow making shipping impossible) and thus Massive bridges are built all over the world.

War breaks-outs between the last cities until peace is brokered and we join the story at thepoint of automatic war machines from that era attack the cities which are now protected by PMC in these motorbike robots(like abigger riderback) which work for the money and these mercs are hated bythe locals.

Focus is on the best mercs in a PMC all out to make there own fast bucks and usually don't give a damn about other team mates as more kills = more money, you got a Quiet Pro(main guy), Local Rookie, Strong Women, Heavy Weapons fat bloke, the womanizer Sniper and the support opperators.

the dango song bit made me well up again. The Fuuko stuff was funny but god damn the ending. Why won't Key let us be happy dammit!

Watched Akkikan 5 but turned it off halfway through. Going to stop watching it, it's no longer so bad it's funny.

Enjoying Maria + Hollic still. Bit aimless and plotless but it still makes me chuckle

Might want to fix that Smurf and i totally agree with you . I believe they invented Clannad to emotionally destroy me.

I've begun watching Natsume Yuujinchou, which i absolutly fell in love with from the first episode. I''ve already started on the 2nd season, such a brilliant show. Reminds me of a happier Mushishi. Love the new opening.

Just seen a trailer for Guin saga which was one of those shows penciled in for Spring. Here it is:

Certainly piqued my interest in it. I'm always up for some epic fantasy and this seems like it's in that vein. Comments in the asuki thread also lend credence to that. We shall see but I suppose it's another thing for me to possibly look forward to.

Reading a bit more about it, and if wiki is to be believed the series was a big inspiration for Berserk. It stands at 123 volumes and is still ongoing. The first five volumes have been translated and released (don't think they're available on the seven seas though). I'm tempted to give them a go to see what it's like.

I think the Spring season is going to be pretty good. Still a month or so away from the main batch but some shows should be starting in the next few weeks.

I'm hoping Queens Blade will be a guilty pleasure. Fanservice heavy action series based on characters popularised through doujins (bit like Tohou). Has the character designer behind My-Hime by the looks of it.

Could well be and it's not something I'm particularly interested in. Anyway I've decided to take the plunge on the first novel (needed to get Black Lagoon Volume 4 from Amazon anyway). Will report back if it's any good.
