Yeah I keep meaning to buy the Ghibli films, the only one I own and have seen is Princess Mononoke.

I have actually seen the Patlabour OVA/films but had them on DVD so never updated MAL, thanks for the reminder heh. I did try to watch the older Bubblegum Crisis but I couldnt get into it, though I did enjoy 2040.

Hah I knew someone would mention me dropping Denno Coil

For me the best Gundam series was Zeta, well worth watching and the OAVs of 0083 are cool as well. I finished watching Legend of the the Galactic Heroes recently which is surely one of the best anime series ever, well worth watching.

Best animation ever. Stupidly OTT and cliched and SO much fun.

Fafner is okay but I'm finding it hard to feel sorry for the characters.

I downloaded The Legend of Daiku Maryu Gaiking, Godannar, Koutetsushin Jeeg, Machine Robo Rescue and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge the other day. I've only seen the latter before and it's one of the funniest we saw that year.

edit lol.. meant for someone else!!! Still alot of stuff missing from dvds and tv i never realized.

Seems i never updated most of my dvd buyings, got the Patlabor double pack, Geobreeders 1/2, couple of random YYH films(god knows why), Royal Space Force, Niea under 7(criminal to forget that show), Tank Police 1/New.

As for Ghilbi i seen most of the popluar ones on TV over the years(rosso, pom poko, Totoro)and own Mononuke, GotF(don't like it at all), Spirited Away, Howls Castle, Nausicaa and EarthSea. Never seen any Lupin 3rd though.

Missing all those latenight channel4 and sci-fi offerings in the 90's i watched like MD Giest, Lensman, FotNS film, Cobra.

          Gonna need sort out

Could never get into even though i download the 1st full season, just seemed like whole lot of random crazyness like Elfen Lied.

I must admit that I had a similar feeling towards the series in the end even though I was shocked by it when I first saw it (in a good way). I think partly it was due to the irregular subbing of it so I'd spend sometimes months between episodes. I think I settled on watching it in arcs of however many episodes. Can't remember what I scored it (or if I even gave it one).

I'm still determined to watch the rest of the show though. It had promise and I want to see where they go with things in Kai and Rei. I've seen far worse which is the main thought that keeps me coming back to a lot of shows

I second this, GGG and Final is one of the best mecha shows ive seen. Once its gets past the monster of the week rubbish and starts ramping up the absurd battles its awesome. This would be an ideal time to post that graph 4chan nocked up but its lost in my huge image dump folder somewhere.

Jesus Tobal i thought mine and Jeffs lists where impressive at 360ish completed series each, but youve got a full 100ish completed series on us.

Also the random crazyness was what made the original Higurashi series for me. As such i didnt enjoy the follwing series as much.

most of that was watched during my uni years when i could afford to watch loads. I've gotten lot picker as years gone by and have choosen to stop watching even total **** like i use to, so no more shows like ICE, DivergenceEVE, Ufo Princess, JinkiExtend to name a few past horrors (but i do slip sometimes *cough*queensblade*cough*).

I dare anyone to try and marathon Divergence EVE s1/s2.

I'd recommend giving Higurashi a second chance, it really draws you in. Just watched ep 2 and 3 of the OVAs (the 'plot' ones), remains as harsh as even.

Incidentally, I'm building up a huge backlog of titles for UKAnime.com, if anyone fancies doing reviews in return for freebie discs send me a PM (please only do so if you're willing to review titles regularly for a reasonably length of time, it's a real pain when reviews don't get done or reviewers drop out mid series).

From what I understand, the parts of FMA (anime) that were different from the manga were the ultimate bad guy, Wrath and

the fact it's an alternate version of WW1 Earth

basically the last third is completely different to the manga
