Usually wait onthe Frostii release but im jumping the gun for ippo24 i want to see it.

Hayate S2 ep12 - continues the goodness, more Hayate cross dressing, Hina singing Cruel Angel Thesis in a Gundam Seed Meer/Lacus outfit, and even a couple of Gundam00 jokes

Felt the same about Eden ending, really could have done with more his last request with his money... problem is we won't get to see the films for ages.

Queens Blade ep12 - another last ep, but season two is onthe way , i know im the only one watching but its enjoyable fluff. Last episode was pretty crap and had very poor animation and art like they had spent all there budget, had me laughing about it though.

the problem i have with Ippo is really the same problem i had with Code Geass

no matter what happens you already know the outcome

Takamura had already won the belt, everybody knew this prior to it starting, the evil west didnt have invisible hands to help them up and he couldnt actually fight knocked out like the Japanese fighter

the only person to lose is Eiji, but that was going to happen since it sets up Ippo to beat his victor around 100 episodes down the line and Eiji was going to retire anyway

just a shame when it becomes so linear

I think where Ippo's suffering at the moment is that Ippo himself has no clear goal. During the first series, there was always a progression to the next fight which helped keep the momentum going; Miyata > Rookie King > Tiger guy > Eiji Date > Japanese Title.

At the moment, and epecially in the manga at the minute, there's no real fixed goal aside from perhaps

but that's always remarked as being ages away.

It's always going to be linear but if they can get it right, you can forget about that and just enjoy it.

That said, I'm about 10 episodes behind so I dunno.

i had no idea what was going to happen in ippo.
but i havent read the manga or seen the first series either. i was starting to think that takamura might actually get killed.

Should definatly check out the first series, it actually features Ippo! I think I have to thank you guys for making me want to watch the show. I'm caught up now and it's one of the best series' I've seen recently, loved the music in the first series more than this one, especially the first ending theme Yuuzora no Kamihikouki. I kinda hope Ippo loses again so he can go back to being the underdog. There's another series planned btw

I'm still waiting for the last two episodes of the new series to be subbed, I think. Then for a marathon of the whole bunch. Worked wonderfully when I made my way through the original series at the turn of the year. I'd echo Adam's thoughts though. Worth watching the first series for sure.

KuroKami ep18-23(end) - probably not many around here still following it, i stopped watching it for a good while after the end of the 1st arc, i think the shift from MMA'esk fighting to bleach style who has the strongest finsher killed it a little for me. Still managed to produce a couple of decent fights right at the the end, mainly the Kuro vs her brother and super kuro vs final boss. Still the end was a bit of suprise,

i thought it was all going to be happy time for Kuro and Co for saving the world but they give her the raw deal and pack her of to solitary for Keita to shack up with Red head girl. Ep23 was a massive waste that should have been tacked on for 3-4 mins at the end of ep22, all we got was alot of flashbacks with a few bits of keita growing old with redhead and dying. Still if they make a sequel it would be cool if Kuro got together with Keita's descendant and that other guy with Glasses girls family

Edit: Also, Summer season has started!
For anyone interested in it, the first episode of Umi no Monogatari has been subbed under "Seas Story - 01" by ayako although without their tags.

Quite enjoyed this although it's not given away much about the premise behind it. Designs and animation are nice and clear and sharp and the music is fantastic.

with the start of a new season comes the end of a few shows

K-on ep13 - even though the show went nowhere i still enjoyed it much like some of the best slice of life shows and even the low budget given to this show it was still well animated and drawn well. Love the little story in this episode where they all turn down an offer to get together cos they have plans but inevitability happens . Hoping for second season after they do something about Full Metal Panic(long over due, after we now have Haruhi S2).

Regios ep24 - nicely animated last ep, didn't make alick of sense but then it hasen't since they introduced the

other universe crap a couple of episode back, not that it stopped me enjoying it(mainly for Felli and then Fonfon growing some balls). And absolutely nothing was explained at the end either so im guessing we're in for another season(i hope), and at least it ended on a Felli/Fonfon moment, take that Captain.

Valkyria Chronicles ep9-12 - pretty much telling it own story now outside of the key battles, not that im unhappy about it as it keeps it fresh but they sem to have dropped the ball on the colour the princesses hair... just how the sod are they going to fix the back story and if they don't what's the whole point of the valkyria angle to story if it isn't.

they couldn't have telegraphed elen return to the underworld more than a song and dance number... they should have just left her completely out of sight. And now we have Leon'esk setting which i quite like to see play out.

I've just watched the first 2 K-On and think it's brilliant!! Like Haruhi and Lucky Star it's just really easy to watch and enjoy.

Speaking of which I also watched the 2nd episode of Haruhi S2. Brilliant stuff! I can't see myself ever getting bored of Haruhi and her tsundere ways

Just waiting for Spice & Wolf 2 to start. Seems like I've been waiting forever.

Saw Umi Monogatari ep1. Was quite enjoyable, looks to be a slice of life style story with supernatural elements.

Also marathoned all the available chapters of The World God Only Knows. Hope that gets picked up for an anime

Hatsukoi Limited ep12 - another show ended, had me laughing a bit when the boys got caught on there biking trip(think Honey'n'Clover) which was followed by some spine tinglingly embrassing crap oh which i only really gave a damn about KappaXEnomoto couple. Wouldn't mind a second season as i kinder like the Ichigo100% style.

Minami-ke dvd extra ep(probably from season3) - really good stuff mainly thanks to alot of Hosoka and some Hayami/Maki.

Air Gear manga, caught up to 245... and well whatever happened to simple skating stuff... all we have now is a **** of TnA, impossible science ****(more so, at least in the 1st 100 chapters or so it was abit believable), Obama the AT genius and people cutting there legs off for no good reason.
