indeed, 4ep's of the same episode even if it is differently animated starts to grate.... i understand what there trying to get across the feelings Nagato repeating 15,500x30 days by repeating it over and over till we are just as annoyed and bored as Nagato, i just hope its not actually 8 eps of this and that ep6 is the final loop.

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 ep1 - i think this will be my show of the season(look out W'n'SII), i love disaster films and this feels right at home for me, the art looks great and seems to have decent grounding in reality to.

Zan SZS ep1 - fourth season.. pretty much the same as before but im not that big fan of new OP which seems to be based on a remix of Haruhi's Mikura Beam? the OP art doesn't help it either as its to bland compared to Rumba and twist. Seems we'll get alot more Normal-tan this season whic him happy about .

Myself I wasn't that keen on TM8.0's first episode. Seemed a bit too drawn out with the girl's

Princess Lover 01: You can practially hear it scream "I'm really, really not adapted from an Eroge and have a serious plot. Honest!". This season's Akane-iro.

Sora no Manimani 01: Wasn't really expecting to like this and I'm still not sure I do. It kind of reminds me a bit of Sumomomo Momomo but I really don't like the faggot main lead. Few amusing moments though.

Kanamemo 01: Was expecting this to be a cutsey slice of life show ala Hidamari and it is...but with an edge. Two lesbians and a drunken lech girl obsessed with female sterotypes to the point of stripping them down. Seems like it could be good though.

Stand out show so far for the moment seems to Bakemonogatari though. It managed to do what Index failed at and keep a wall of text anime interesting. Story seems quite different from anything else which is always a plus.

Edit: Also, looking to the future a bit, seems like my dream of a decent Sora no Otoshimono conversion has died when they released the PV. A few of voice actors really seem ill-fitting to the parts they play. Maybe they can redeem themselves with some of the violence it has...

watched the Eureka7 movie now and while i did enjoy it for the Renten/Eureka bits without the need for a 50 episode build up like the original and for the few fights in it, but the ending and the story in general made little sense.

I wasn't expecting anything decent this season outside of W&SII, ZSZS and M8.0, but having caught up on a few of new show now i like Bakemonogatari(yay SHAFT), Kanamemo and Cannan its gotten alot better.

Bakemonogatari seems like SHAFT doing their own Tsukihime, which is all it needs to be top dog for me, the other 2 shows are pretty much as already said by you guys.

A question for anyone that's played Valkyrie Chronicles and watched the anime; I'm looking to pick up the game sometime soon. Is it worth me abandoning the anime so I can preserve the story or is it altered drastically enough that I can watch it without any worries?

Abandon the anime so it won't ruin the game for you...I'm not a huge fan of VC story but the anime is absolutely bad.

The anime will ruin the game's plot for you, and also isn't anywhere near as good as the game's plot.

I would say stop and store so you can watch after the game, even though character personalities and some History has been changed, most key events still take place in order of which you certainly don't want to spoil what happens after the freeing the Mining town(currently ep13/14).

The game main differences, Alicia ain't moe, Faldio doesn't hit on her, the Darcen angle is played up bigger(for a good payoff) and the game has Jane(and both English and JP VA's).

Speaking of game to anime conversions, I finally finished Tales of the Abyss. I can't say this with absolute certainty but judging by how I remember the storyline of Symphonia to be, I have to say that was a mighty impressive conversion. Probably the best I've seen of an RPG being switched across. The ending perhaps seemed a tad too quick but all the same I rather enjoyed the series.

Got a mighty urge to go replay Symphonia now...

Bakemonogatari ep2, firm fav now. That conversion in her house between the two of them had me laughing hard and liking there personalities alot.

dropped Shangl-ria, no idea why i hung on so long(ep13) as it kept getting worse and worse till the winged jet pack bit finally broke it for me, not seen such lazy/stupid writing, animation and art in a while.
