I havent been keeping up with anime for about a month, don't think i've watched anything, have I missed any good new series?

Stuff that's a defo -

Ghostory(Bakemonogatari)
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
Spice and Wolf s2
Zan Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei

outside of them the only other new stuff im watching, is pretty much if you like the genre only.

Cannan - girl'n'guns, more Black Lagoon than Noir, but so far not as good BL. It cerainly got the animation and the stick seems to be the man girl can see emotions as colours but is pretty emotionless herself being brought up as child assassin, so she pretty brutal to enemies(no mercy), as some japanese dizt playing the rock roll.

Aoi Hana - high school slice of life, more drama/romance than comedy, feature 2 former childhood friends coming back tothe town they lived but going different high schools, 1 card carrying lesbo.

Sea Story(umi monogatari) - So far a half decent magic girl show but with a budget to animate pretty good fight scenes, something about a sea(mermaid) and sky(human) priests needing to work together to beat the evil queen of evil, if you liked stuff like Tokyo MewMew it'll be right up your alley.

Sora no Manimani - high school slice of life 2, this time being mainly a comedy about a astronomy club with a hyperactive retard girl and a bookworm boy.

Kanaemo - newpaper seller slice of lfe comedy.... bit similar to fruits basket in setup but without the magic animals and all girls instead(2 of which are randy lesbian couple, 1 pedo perv, brainy loli etc,etc). Seems ok so far

Juuden-chan - very strange and ecchi show about an invisible girl whos job it is to cure depression, by electruting them.

Cheers for the list, i'll start looking for some of that. I've actually downloaded 4 episodes of Canaan but havent really watched any yet

Just finished The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. Amazing stuff, and for those who haven't seen it, like a cross between Voices of a Distant Star, and Whisper of the Heart. Found it a slow starter, but great when it gets going and strikes the balance between comedy and drama well.

i dont know if anybody still watches naruto.
but the double episode 119 & 120 is the kakashi gaiden story finally.
doesnt seem to be dragged out or altered from the manga, which is nice.

I gave up on the Naruto and Bleach animes as soon as they got back into the filler, not going through that again. Might have to pick up those two episodes though.

Yep. It's fantastic. I absolutely adored it when I watched it. Embodies pretty much everything that I like about slice-of-life style shows. Incidentally the director and possibly the same team behind that are making Summer Wars which I believe is going to hit the theaters in Japan some time in August so hopefully we'll have some subs for a dvd release further down the line.

Yep The Girl who lept through time is an absolutely brilliant film. A must watch for anyone.

Can't wait for summer wars. I've noticed the director has a thing for the 'washed out colours, thick coloured outline on a white background' cyberspace look. Features in everything he's done; the digimon movie, TGWLTT and summer wars (judging by the trailer).

Indeed, finally come good stuff from Naruto in anime form, hopefully one day we'll find out what happened to Rin. Animated Bleach and Naruto atm are really dull and i don't see naruto picking up till Itachi fights Diedra and Itachi, and of course the Jman vs pain stuff. As for Bleach manga and anime its just complete ****, and im just about ok with this Ninja meeting stuff, even if the payoff for the pain vs naruto fight blew balls.

Bakemonogatari ep5 - damn this is good, from arguing and fighting which resembled a dance, the big reveal(which i enjoyed) and of course the

AraragiXSenjougahara bit at the end which was pretty damn fast for relationship to develop by anime standards and i have to say i wish more shows had characters like these which get to the point. Also the payoff at the end with snail turning up as a upgraded ghost was brilliant.
