Go to 4chan and do a dmc search onthe rapidshare bit, there should be a rapidshare or megadownload for 1-53chpaters in one file.

Only a week or so till the new season starts. There's a lot of potential in it.

It's a shame that The Dissapearence of Haruhi isn't this season (rumours floating around of a dispute between the studio and the novel's author) but still a few good shows.

Caught up with Xamd. Great stuff so far. Reminds me a lot of the opening episodes of Eureka 7 too. I guess it's pretty similar for a lot of Bones shows as well. I hope it carries on in the same fashion and doesn't dip like a few other shows have. Currently among my picks for the best show this year. Very interested to see what's in store regarding the Xamd/Soulstone/Humanform stuff. I guess I'll also be jumping on the Furuichi-hate bandwagon.

Now on to Detroit Metal City and Natsume Yuujinchou, which IIRC I was pretty excited about a couple of months back as I'd built it up in my head to be Mushishi with more of a plot thread to tie it all together. We shall see...

You should enjoy Natsume Zapp. It certainly has a Mushishi feel with some of the folklore spirits/monsters but it's also more...grounded with it's use of humour rather than having all the seriousness of Mushishi. Well worth the watch.

Edit: Forgot to say, came across some screenshots of the Kanokon DVD extras. Wow. They really, er, pushed the boat out on those.

Well it's early days but I enjoyed what I watched of Natsume Yuujinchou's first ep. You were right about the lightheartedness. It seems to be a much bigger element of it, which is good because it's handled really well. I certainly chuckled a few times during that first episode. Very promising indeed. I might try and catch it all up in time for the last subbed episode.

Detroit Metal City was also pretty ace. It's the first time in a while that an anime comedy has got me laughing pretty hard. I particularly like the misunderstandings that lead to the cop killer move and "public rape" XD. That sort of stuff reminds me of some of the best scenes from School Rumble which had all sorts of scenes built around these similar sort of misunderstandings. One to pick up in manga form if the anime doesn't go as far or misses out material.

In another fit of reading frenzy, I've been catching up with the Shakugan no Shana novels. It really is quite amazing how much more...logical it all seems. There are so many bits in the anime that make much more sense simply because you're able to clearly read the narrative that they think inside their heads.

Also, since I'm an impatient sort and the second series hasn't been announced yet, I read the 3rd Spice and Wolf novel which picks up from where the series finished. What can I say. I rarely read books that have so many twists and turns of emotion, with highs and lows, and yet this manages to do it in 5 chapters. I can only pray that they make a second series now so I can see what I've read animated to the same high standard that the first series managed.

I've been slowly buying the Gunsmith Cats omnibus' lately. I've still got all the original Dark Horse graphic novel releases knocking about somewhere. Love this series to bits, and just wish Dark horse weren't so goddamned slow with their releases because I want my Gunsmith Cats Burst (2nd series)!

I'm still waiting for the second coming of Haruhi =(

Macross F ep25 - last ep with animation and sound effects being totally off the charts.. felt like i was watching some mini film. For all the damage the late teens and early twenties eps did for the story and characters this for me made up for it. Also my birdman thing was totally wrong

And i thought that giant ranka was all in there minds, but it was really macross galaxy, battle scenes and music together totally rocked, Sheryl got her space aids cure(i assume form ranka order the larva to move fromthe mind intothe stomach so she now has ranka ability. Grace got her comupance, sherly and ranka titty fan services, and camoes for SDF1 and macross 11(i think it was to show that the fold network can be anywhere for them to show up).

Only things against where the vaj explanation for them attacking humans(does enough to pass but meh! overall) and of course no decision on which woman(come on sheryl ).

Im fully expecting some sort of film or ova to come out to finish it or maybe another tv series.

Code Geass R2 ep25 - and the biggest show of the moment comes to an end.

Have to say i have no complaints with the way it ended even if it was bit of an overreach that the world just holds hands now lulu is dead. Loved the final fight between Kallen and Suzaku especially when it got down to the basics when the ammo ranout(kind of wish the Mecha hadn't been so Hax so we could have seen more of R1 battles) and Kallen getting the final win over Suzaku was the icing onthe cake .

And the final moments of Lulu, i have to say made me a bit watery eyed when Suzaku stabs him and then his final moments with his sister(also liked that had Kallen realize it was suzaku and lulu was taking the fall).

Now onto the speculating , im pretty convinced Lulu obtained C.C. immortally which was the reason for Nunnelly getting the flashbacks and the cart driver at the end was lulu with a C.C thats decided to live on even though that does take the edge of lulus death(didn't really spot flashback thing until i rewatched). R3? who knows... but i want to see it.

Good job Gundam 00 around the corner, theres a massive vacuum left by the biggest shows of year Macross and Geass ending.

Hah, what timing to coincide with my last post: Spice and Wolf novels got licensed in America. Much joy from me since reading the last novel translated was such a pleasure. If they don't get released here it's going to be a definite must import series.

Also, Moyashimon manga got licensed as well which'll be nice to beat the only 3 scanalated chapters that have been released.
