Right, you lot are normally pretty good at this sort of thing and might be able to help me...

I had a little plastic model kit when I was a kid and I'm trying to work out if it was a series or not. I'm pretty sure it was Japanese.

The kit I had had two robots in it one was a thin radio operator and the other was a fat sailor. The sailor was red and blue with thin white legs and a white collar.

It kind of looked like 8Chan:

    Any ideas?!

      Shame really
This pissed me off no end - I ended up ordering season 3 of FMA Brotherhood from Australia and it costs and arm and a leg! This seems like the only option if you want it on region b blu-ray :/

Madman (literally the only company to distribute anime here) do have a nasty habit of pumping up the prices on their blu rays. I try not to think about the total cost of the 17 or so films/series of theirs that I've bought.

Dear god, I challenge anyone to make it through 2 episodes of Rio - Rainbow Gate.

It must set a new low for game adaptations. The whole central premise is utterly stupid: what kind of Casino would hire people to boost the luck of their customers so they win?

Beezebub was funny, will keep watching that. Lots of willy shots though.

Freezing... typical seinen, doesn't interest me hugely. No doubt it'll have lots of main characters dying in incredibly violent or tragic ways throughout the series.

Need to watch that Zombie show, hear lots of people like it.

I couldn't make it through 5 mins of RioRainbow, terrible stuff. And the Zombie Magical Girl show is quite good after watching ep1, nothing original as it mixes a bunch of standard anime formula's together, but the fight at the end of the ep had me laughing hard as i didn't expect it.

Not watched Beezebub yet, i think it looks like a Hitman clone which put me right off and Level E just froma quick skip through looks distrubing. Not bothering with gosick, i'm no fan of loli detectives.

Kimi ni Todoke is back and its as annoying as ever!

It keeps rubbing me up the wrong way. I must be the only person who can't stand it. But.... there has to have at least some magic as i'm still coming back to it.

heh, its the sparkles and bubbles that do it , im guessing the tall blonde guy gonna figure into this story arc's misunderstandings and Sadako really shouldn't have been put off by Kurumi's tricks after the previous school year. I still like it all the same.

Dragon Crisis - pretty meh... got Rie in as the lead girls VA, and so far not Tsun'dere roll(for once)... really wish the mainguy wasn't a wimpy gay looking lad like they always seems to be, art's decent enough and so's the animation on the jiggling story seems to be around collecting mystical treasures and yet another show this season with the partner/fighting dynamic.

Storing up one piece eps481-to 484 as i don't think i could watch such a big change in the one piece world stretched over weeks.

Tried to watch Beelzebub, gave up after 5mins.

Oni-chan no koto... Competing with Rio for worst anime this season. At least Rio didn't have such awful art.

Nothing is as bad as Riorainbow this season, but Oni-chan not far off... besides the Zombie show and the sequels for Mitsudomoe and KnT everything else has been a show i'll ave to force myself to see the next couple of episode to see if it improves.

But i did find one gem, Wandering Son, unique art(like a shiny Honey'n'Clover), great soundtrack and decent enough animation. Slice of Life drama, featuring couple of crossdressing teenagers entering middle school finding lifes a bit hard when you want wear the oppsite sex's clothes, so far there's no over the top comedy, just subtle humor, and so far the kids involved aren't gay which is a nice change from the norm.

Just finished watching Gundam 00: Awakening of the Trailblazer, seriously wtf.

Whilst all the beam spam was very nice to look at, the battles lacked any real spark. Mainly as it was basically just the bits/fangs/funnel battles, the low points of the series, expanded to stupid levels. Also alot of the character development from the series seemed to have been thrown out the window, setsuna was back to his emotionless self from the beginning of the series bar a few points.

I could just have just about gone with the alien angle had they given them some personality, and not blatantly ripped of gun/diebuster. Then there was a fact that Setsuna did pretty much **** all. With the new 00 I was expecting him to ramp up the hax to even higher levels than what he achieved from some of the best battles from the series, instead he just flies around fires the odd shot, then just pulls some bull**** and teleports to the other side of the galaxy or something. Then there was the stupid ****ing space flower (not even metallic) and shiny setsuna. Seriously massive disappointment and pretty much ruined what was a fairly decent gundam universe. it wasn't quite destiny seed but it wasn't far of.

It seriously felt like all the good gundam creators had been robbed to work on Unicorn (plz don't turn to **** at the end), and the 00 film had been left to be done by the B team and the work experience guy or something.

Although I suppose it does sort of prove a point that the newer series really cant live up to the quality in the UC shows. And with that I hope Crossbone finally gets some love once Unicorn is finished.

Sorry if that was a bit ranty but I needed to vent after finishing watching it.

On a slightly happier note I finally got round to watching Summer Wars the other night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Such an enjoyable film with some great character interactions and development. After Girl who leapt and Summer Wars I'm looking forward to what he does next.

                              Is anyone watching Star Driver?

Just watched the 15th episode and i still don't have a clue what the main plot of this show is about or whom this organisation controlled by students really is or what they really want. Heck don't even know where all the robots come from or why they are all on this stupid island.

                              Still enjoying it though :P

Im still watching Star Driver, just as predicited and like the similar shows before it started to drop the whimsical for drama now most of the characters have been introduced and given some development, still enjoying it even if all the well animated fights are under a miniute in most cases and the twins plot holding my attention. Guessing we get Takato's backstory next ep and why he has a stage 3 doll. Be interesting to see where it goes with the stage 1 stuff once they get into the real world.

Wandering Son ep2 - Best of the new shows for me by a long margin, plenty of forced drama but i don't mind it as the gang of kids all seem likable enough and all have there own youthful problems. This eps goes develops some of the other kids and learn some of their traits.
