If I remove the bank account from my paypal account, what are the implications? Basically, if someone hacks my account, I would prefer they drag the money from my credit card rather than my bank account.

Hi guys,
I recently bought a copy of modnation racers for the ps3 and the transaction went smooth as silk and got my item within a few days. However I just received this from the seller via ebay:
"Hello redfiat36,
XXXXX recently opened a case to cancel a transaction for an item you recently purchased: ModNation Racers - PlayStation 3 - PS3 (NEW & SEALED). We're closing the case for this unpaid transaction and the unpaid item won't be recorded on your account.
Reason for request to cancel the transaction: The seller did not provide a specific reason.
Seller comment: Could you do me a huge favour and cancel the transaction, feedback will stay the same and the item is still completely yours, I just need to close this for reference, if not just ignore
Click "Take action" to accept or decline this cancellation.
If you don't take action by 25-Oct-2010, the seller will be able to cancel the purchase without your consent."
Any ideas if I should accept or decline? This is the first time I've encountered something like this. Any help is much appreciated.

So, I'm new to eBay, and set up an account to buy a surprise gift for the missus, but I've made a mistake and don't know what to do!
I bought an item and went to confirm payment, but the page didn't load so I did it again. I've now paid the seller twice for the same item. It shows as one item on my eBay, and in the eBay confirmation, but I have two different payment receipts, both with different transaction id's, and my bank is showing two payments earmarked, and paypal is showing two payments made.
What do I do now? I've messaged the seller through eBay to explain, but haven't heard anything back. What should he do now? What should I be doing now? What if it all goes pearshaped? Is this normal?
Thanks guys!Last edited by MrKirov; 21-10-2010, 08:24.

if hes a decent seller, he will refund. If not just open up a paypal dispute and that should sort it

Well there was a number for them so i rang the seller, they noticed that I'd paid twice even though there was one order, and decidedbot to ask how many I wanted, but to send two of the item!! Now ive got two on the way, and I would have to pay the postage myself to return it, which would cost a fair bit, so it's just not worth the bother!
I knew this would happen, that's why I've avoided it for so long

I don't get how that double payment happened.
Was it a Buy Now and MrKirov re-went through the whole buying process again rather than click on the 'Pay Now' option, which should have been at the top of the listing?
If MrKirov had done that or tried to use the 'Pay Now' option from the purchase confirmation email from the seller or just gone though My eBay it should have shown him automatically that payment had been made.
It's actually a bit worrying because I've had my system crash whilst arranging Paypal payment twice and left me concerned as to whether I'd paid or not.
The usual PayPal e-mails didn't arrive immediately so I re-logged on to eBay and checked. First time this happened My eBay and the listing itself showed I had paid. Second time I had to restart the Paypal process.
But if it wasn't just a simple and understandable newbie error, buying the same thing twice, I wonder if this is an isolated incident?

fking paypal.
I bought something for £29.47 and paid once, no problems. I get a single receipt and the item arrives today. I check my online banking and its come out twice, making me overdrawn and I'll probably get charged because of this. I'll be phoning them with stern words tomorrow, the useless basts.
I doubt they'll pay any charges I encounter either. FUU
