It was funny to see Lewis turn and look at FA in the press conference when he was asked about the pit delays. His look seemed to say "yes, explain your way out of this!"

Some are suggesting that FA was protesting being held in the pits earlier in the session. I juts don't understand it though as why piss off your team mate and employer so publicly. Of course unless he knows something we don't and is making a point. Maybe it could be about the whole scandal an d how it's potentially tarnishing his reputation, particularly if Mclaren lose the appeal and get point deducted. Bizarre.

Madness from Alonso. It is brilliant gamesmanship on his part, but it is spectacularly short-sighted. Does he honestly think that there will not be ramifications from this. Outright hostility from fans and the media, anger from parts of his team. It may have got him pole position on a track where if you lead out of the first corner you usually win the race, but it sets a dangerous precedent for the future.
This is all becoming a lot like Senna Vs Prost.
1) Start the season liking each other
2) As the season progresses and the tension starts to build, one small event (the agreement between S & P not to overtake before the first corner is broken) occurs and the relationship implodes
3) All out war b/w the drivers
4) One leaves, one stays
I have to say, Alonso looks like he is in Prosts situation. The pre-season assumed leader, the leading driver of the field, all of a sudden discovers just how fast the newcomer is. Eventually Prost leaves, or is forced out. Replace Prost with Alonso and you have what may be the beginning of the end of the McLaren/Alonso relationship.
I know that Prost had been with the team for years when 1988 started and Alonso is just in his first year with McLaren, but I wouldnt be surprised if this happens. It is clear Alonso is not happy within the team, and that he didnt expect Hamilton to be so fast. He feels the team favours Hamilton, and distrust is like a cancer within such a close-knit organisation.
Ron Dennis needs to sort this out ASAP, an open meeting with all the key personnel there, where all the grievances and allegations can be made directly. That way everyone knows the lay off the land and they can begin to move forward. This is the last thing they need as they enter the last part of the season leading both championships, and with this appeal court ruling hovering overhead.
This drama is great stuff for viewers and fans alike, but awful for McLaren. Maybe they should 'ask' Alonso to brake early and let Hamilton edge past into the first corner.
As an added aside, I think Hamilton was on a lower fuel load than Alonso as he was consistently quicker than him in the last session. If he cant get past Alonso at the first corner, any chance at first place might be gone as well.
All the same, tomorrow cannot come soon enough.

Alonso has been demoted to sixth on the grid as a penalty, and McLaren lose all constructors points scored from this race.
Dont really know what to make of that. Was Alonso just listening to the countdown on his engineer instead, as Ron Dennis claims. Thats hard to equate with his reaction at the end of the session, when he was visibly angry with Alonso's trainer. If it was Hamilton's fault, why would he be angry with Alonso? It doesnt make sense if you listen to RD's claims. And yet RD is an honest guy, straight down the line.
What is clear though is that weve been robbed of a great run down to the first corner. If Alonso gets stuck behind Raikkonen or Heidfeld, Hamilton will just run and hide.
