Whatever happens with Lewis I think it's going to be a real kick in the teeth for JB. I can easily see him being outranked by Lewis in the first year (if he's in the McL) and def beaten in the second regardless.

Davidson's time for a top flight seat may have passed, he needs to take ANY seat next year and absolutely shine to get up there, holding out for a top seat obviously isn't working.

Who are we going to lose from the grid then if we get all these newcomers? MSC maybe, JPM maybe, JV says he wants to stay put.

And onto the MotoGP. I was at the in-laws and flicked on to see some only to see the re-start. They didn't show any replays of the crash in the 5 mins before the re-start, what happened and where can I see it?

Capirossi & Gibernau collided just before first corner (on first lap), pretty nasty, the collision forced Giberanu's front brake on and he went straight over the handle-bars, took about 8 people out in total, everyone seems OK thank god.

It must be onlline somewhere. Hayden's not won a race all year but now has a healthy lead in championship.

Oh and Audi won the LeMans, diesel car did them proud.

Thanks, will trawl through Google video.

Thought Audi would have a good chance at Le Mans. Good to see Diesel as a true alternative in motor sport now, first diesel F1 car within 10 years?

Found it on BBC, quality was not so good but got the idea. Looked very painful!!

I already want this Lewis Hamilton twat to f*&k off and he's not even made it to the big leagues yet... ITV *will not* stop going on about him, even Ron Dennis was fed up with it when they quizzed him about the guy in the middle of a Grand Prix...

He's not that special, the media are bigging him up constantly because they think we need these 'local heroes' and Button & Coulthard don't cut it. Nothing Hamilton has done has convinced me he deserves any more respect than Anthony Davison, let alone the two established Brits in F1.

Rossi is injured, broken bone in hand and dislocated an ankle bone, says he'll still ride.

Elias not so lucky though and will miss the race with a duff shoulder.

Don't forget the Canadian GP on Sunday too 17:00 UK time. Clashes with the football I think.

Yes clashes with second half of England game, come on Schumacher (and Rossi), will Button have a good weekend ? he and Honda certainly need one.

MotoGP - three race weekends in a row, such back luck to have a big accident (not through your own fault) on the first one, can ruin your whole season.

Anyone catch the MotoGP? I missed the beginning (as usual ) but that last lap more than made up for it, WOW.

What happened to Rossi, crash at the beginning or just a bit injured to run at the front?

Interesting difficulties for the F1 boys, try and keep it going in the right direction boys, all that marbles talk "it's like driving on gravel" James Allen is starting to really grate this season.

That was the worst I've ever seen it, don't recall it ever being so visible before. Was it due to the surface of the track (heard it was breaking up) or something?

Yeah, he started in last place due to the earlier crash and was basically struggling to apply pressure to the brake at certain corners meaning he was arround a second off the overall pace. Still getting 8 points could make a difference come the end of the season so a decent race for him considering the circumstances.

...and yeah, awesome last lap. Edwards must be absolutely gutted!

I've not seen any highlights yet, (it was on Eurosport 2 and I don't have that), Rossi's hand was bad by all acounts, after reading reports, felt sorry for Edwards, plus I dislike Hayden with a passion - he cannot win the championship this year.

F1 - Marbles did see so much more visible this weekend, prehaps due to lack of run off areas at certain corners etc, bad mistake by Kimi, can see marbles being a big talking point next weekend aslo
Alonso (and his car) are just so consistent and reliable can't see them losing their title's this year, nice to Schumi keeping up the pressure though.

Kimi to Ferrari or Benetton next year ?? seats are starting to fill up quickly already, hope BMW keep Villeneuve on for next year also.

I dont rate Canada much as a circuit but it was an enjoyable race.

I'm getting more concerned anbout Montoya every race. Obvously it dont look like he's got a placment next season and going by his track record no team will pick him up.

I love Montoya, he's my favourite driver and the most exciting to watch. However his main downfall he's got no consistancy to him. He's good but because he's got balls of steal he wont end up winning many races. He got a chance moving to Mclaren, a stable car but he did not make the most of it. Even if you put Montoya in the Ferrari or Renault I could never imagine him ontop of a season.

Button though? He's a brillant driver, put's in the quick laps but is in a really unreliable car. If he goes to Mclaren or get's a strong car I could imagine he'll be a contender.

That will NEVER happen. He's shot himself in the foot contractually and he wont be buying himself out of another seat any time soon. I'm afraid Buttons chance has gone I think. I like him, wish he had a better ride but I just think the momentum has run out. Last season was the chance to capitalize and it's all gone downhill now, getting rid of Willis can't have helped their future.

If Montoya leaves F1 I'll be sad, he drives like a racer and tells it straight, fingers crossed. He's had some bad luck over the years but you're right, he's not consistent or level headed enough.
