Hamilton over cooked the first corner, plain and simple, and he did cause mayhem behind him but there you go, only a blind man on a galloping horse would say any different.

He's come out this morning and said Massa drove him into him on purpose and that he can't understand why he was penalised for the first corner thing.

I really want to get behind Hamilton, I really do, but i'm finding it hard.

how else will they hand over the championship to that idiot Massa ??!

giving Bourdais the penalty is rediculous , it was just a racing incident with 2 drivers fighting for their position ! the FIA at it's best again....

If they were going to give him a penalty he should have got it at the next race. Whilst I`m finding the racing exciting at the moment, the inconcistent steward rulings are putting a real dampener on the sport as a whole. Having seen the support Ferrari have first hand I can see why the FIA are slightly biased towards them, without them they would lose a massive chunk of revenue....probably half or more. About 60% of the crowd were in Ferrari gear at the Japanese GP, it was crazy.

I saw a lot of people wearing footy type shirts in blue and white with Raikkonen`s name on the back and the number 6. The colour part I get, but number 6 I don`t get (as he`s number 1)...has he ever been number 6?

He could have been No 6 (behind the Benneton & Ferrari drivers) a few years back, clutching at straws a bit there though.

He was running with the number 6 last year!

I am getting totally fed up with these stupid rules. They are also applied completely differently at each race!

Hamilton screwed up, but, how many races have yuo seen when someone doen't screw up at teh first corner and not been panalised?!

This is 'supposed' to be racing, and it ain't half the time. And I can see sponsors getting pissed off also and moving more in golf and tennis which is bad as the teams need theirr money

Only a blind man would deny that Hamilton messed up, but only a completely biased governing body would penalise him for it. That kind of thing happens in literally every single race at the start, only normally it's at the back of the field/not a McLaren so there's never a penalty. It's one rule for them, another for everyone else, and it's beyond ridiculous.

Didn't see a penalty for Raikkonen when he screwed up and crashed into the back of Sutil in Monaco.

You've overlooked the bit in the FIA rulebook where it says anyone driving an all-red car is exempt from punishment.

This season has been a bit of a joke, TBH. both Hamilton and Massa have made too many mistakes to be deemed worthy world champions and no matter who wins, the only reason people will remember this campaign is because of the wonky steward rulings.

Ahh that will explain it. Thought it might have been what place in the championship they come, but Hamiliton is 22 this year so that blows that out of the water.

22 is because Mclaren lost all of their points last year and thus came last.

It's ironic how some people like Ferarri, with their by hook or by crook mentality, yet dislike Hamilton basically because of his desire to win. I mean I hated Schumi (who no doubt you Ferarri fans loved, showing how hypocritical you are when he was the most aggressive and arrogant driver ever and a massive cheat to boot.), but I'll admit he made F1 interesting, just as Hamilton does, he's about the only driver who does any overtaking - which is what makes F1 interesting.

I find it a rather sad mentality that people would rather support a bunch of latter day cheats they have no connection with than a talented English driver who's not nearly as arrogant as some people make out, certainly not as arrogant as Schumi.

Nationality is irrelevant. LH is a cocky ****, pure and simple. Comparing himself to Senna ffs. He hasn't even won a WDC yet.

Find me the quote then, I never heard that, though I did hear Senna's own family have compared the two drivers, amongst others.
