That was mainy because they weren't really on terrestrial TV much at the time. Until Sky, at most there'd only be one live footy match on telly a week (and darts on only once a year!)
But with F1, EVERY race is already being shown live, Sky can't show more than that.
Maybe Sky's F1 coverage will be decent. But the current BBC coverage is the best I've known, so they've got a hard target to beat.
