Ahh so by my statements you say i don't enjoy it? you know me then? didnt think so.
At the moment F1 is in a lull imo and actually i love all motorsport and have done for the last 30+ years.
"Moto GP is a hectic mess" , so you dont like close/exciting racing where there has been numerous different winners this year.
I wish F1 was in this "hectic mess" lmfao. The only sport atm which is in a worse state is WRC (of the major race series).

I'm a lover of all motorsports, i visit le mans and goodwood every year, love bikes and love cars. I watch F1, I watch Moto GP and with hand on heart i find MotoGP races more enjoyable and exciting to watch than F1.
If you can get hold of a copy of the latest MotoGP race, you'll understand why.

Formula One is an oddity to me as I know that it can be an utter bore fest at times but I just can't stop watching it. My Father took me to the '83 GP at Brands Hatch and I have been watching it ever since. I thought that after Mansell, Prost and Senna left the scene I would lose interest, but here I am, years later, cheering on Fernando to the WDC.Last edited by Richard.John; 06-06-2006, 08:22.

That's the same as me Peanuts, sometimes I'm left thinking 'what a waste of 3 hours' but I'm still guaranteed to watch the next race!
Watched the MotoGP last night too, whilst I saw it as a great race it still didn't hold the excitement of F1 or cars. I think it 'looks' too easy to pass on the bikes as they are narrow, I know it's not easy and I ride myself but it's still cars that do it for me on TV.
In the flesh though anything with an engine will do and I can watch anything on tv without any complaints at all if I'm bored.

I'd like to braoaden my horizons when it comes to racing, but Ive watched a bit of MotoGP and it doesnt do it for me. I know its a vastly different, all out race with more overtaking, but I prefer F1 with its many rules and regulations, the politics and the strategy.
May sound elitist of me but its the understanding (and interest in) of all this that seperates F1 fans from the 'its just cars going round and round' crowd. My answer to which is always 'football is just kicking a ball about, but you like that.'
