thanks, i might not have noticed. although it is on straight after rome.

anyway, f1 today is crazy so far. hopefully raikonen can do a bit better this time.

plus what a waste of a great feature, the old Nordschleife in a new f1 car...they showed all of about 2 minutes.

Was so funny seeing them all try to hold it together on the lake, never gonna happen, lol.

The Spyker could have won the race had it not been sooooooooo bad, they must be gutted as they will just get swallowed up now.

Agreed. I was hoping for a bit more.

Aye, if anyone is not watching this, you NEED to watch it. The race has been stopped because of the atrocious, hellish rain that suddenly erupted on the first lap.

Cars going left right and centre aquaplaning off the track, five cars crashed at the first corner alone including Hamilton.

New race leader when the race starts: Marcus Winkelhock, first ever race, home grand prix.

This supports the idea in my opinion for there to be industrial water dispensers which get switched on randomly at points in the season. Wet racing, and the chaos which ensues, rules.

Button out is a shame, great quote about his start mind, 'i got a crap start', honesty is great eh.

More rain predicted ten minutes after the restart. Things could get interesting....

Damn, I missed the excitement, hope there is a replay.

Highlights on ITV 1 at 23:45 and at 18:00 on ITV 4 tomorrow. Plus I'd think they'll show some of it again after the race.

                          That was so crazy!

Hamilton was SO unlucky, got from 10th on the grid up to 5th I think, then one of the BMW's hit him and punctured his rear left tyre, had to pit in to change, then the crash which he was lucky to get out of causes him to be 17th and last on the grid in the restart!

Gonna be interesting when the SC goes in now and the race goes on.

EDIT: NO way!! They've classed LH as a lap behind, I thought he would have been safe. So now he's allowed to unlap himself under the safety car, if he gets back in time before the restart it'll be ace!

Don't understand why they put Hamilton on slicks, fair enough refuelling him, but as Martin Brundle said, it was never dry enough for anything but intermediates.

Its like the gods on one hand gave Hamilton a massive dose of fortune and favour today, only for them to take it away with the other hand.

Even though hes getting faster now, hes lost too much time overall.

EDIT: Murray Walker is commentating on Five Live!!!!! My suggestion: mute the windbag James Allen and switch on Five Live. The best of both worlds: its like the good old days.

11 laps to go and a spot of rain? Great!
