Looks like Scott Speed could be making a swift exit from Toro Rosso

    Speed Hits Back

I was saying a few weeks ago that I didn't think Speed would see out the season. It's all been too low profile at Toro Rosso for a normal relationship. Didn't realise it was like that though, pretty shocking stuff to be bullied by your boss in such a high profile industry.

Just read it in full, shocking yes. Woeful behaviuor that shouldn't go unpunished. Hope it goes right to the top of Red Bull and Tost gets the boot.

I'm never quite sure with Toro Rosso whether its the drivers or the car that let them down.

Liuzzi pretty much walked F3000, but hasn't really shown much since he's been in F1 and seems to be fairly eveningly matched for pace with Speed.

It could be that with two better drivers they could be further up the field, or it might just be the car isn't really up to scratch. I can't imagine Seb Bourdais would consider joining them if it he didn't think they were at least going to be upper mid-field runners, so I can only assume its the drivers.

Now that Lorenzo has been confirmed to partner Rossi at Yam next year where does that leave Edwards?

Spyker have hired Sakon Yamamoto for the rest of the season, or should that be, Yamamoto has enough sponsor money to buy a seat for the rest of the season?

It's hearing day for McL as well, Ron seems bullish that they are in the clear and it was just one employee but I'm not sure that's the point. Wonder when we'll start to hear news of that?

Lorenzo & Rossi will be a great team at Yamaha, Edwards, don't know where he'll go, most factory rides are all tied up, prehaps Suzuki ?

Was just looking on BBC site for info on the hearing, we think alike Alastair, guess it will kick off mid-morning, just hope it doesn't drag on for ages, all seems straight forward enough but is bound to end up like a soap opera.

You must be bored at work too then!

I hope Edwards doesn't end up on a poor bike or without a ride at all, he may not be a winner but he is the kind of guy needed in the sport.

The McL thing will either be a massive drawn out, take it through the courts thing or it'll all go away sharpish, who knows at the moment though.

Can't believe Spyker hired Yamamoto, he was terrible in a Super Aguri, obviously its his money, but still, I can't see them getting much useful testing information out of him.

Be interesting to see how he does agains Liuzzi though. Personally think the car is just not as quick as Berger etc believe it is.

You got your teams confused David? Speed is still at STR 'officially' anyway. I'm with you that the STR car isn't as good as the team leaders proclaim though.

                        Spyker, not Toro Rosso

I reckon Bourdais just wants to get his foot in the door and use Toro Rosso as a stepping stone to the big squad when Coulthard retires, which can only be a year or two away!

Yamamoto wont disgrace himself like Ide did but he has hardly been lighting up the tracks in GP2, its obvious that he had the most cash! The sensible route would have been to take on a thid driver like Franck Montagny or Christian Klien if they were looking for results and improving the car but I guess they need the cash more!

I can see Colin Edwards heading back to WSBK next year, hopefully he will get that long deserved win before the end of the season, Lorenzo looks like a star though so will be nice to see him come up!

That seems to be it then!

Thats good news, a verdict the other way really would have been bad for the sport.
