Bit of a swim last night and a 20k cycle ride the day before. Was going to have a quick 5 mile run today but never got round to it. Will have another 20k ride on Sudnay before the 10/11 mile run to work first thing Monday morning.
9 days until my half marathon.

Almost reached my goal of getting under 170lbs, right on the verge.

I got a Spurs credit card last September because they gave away a free away shirt when you signed up. Didn't fit into it back then but I wore it for the first time on Wednesday and it fit

In store as well, my last pair was sportsdirect at the bullring in b'ham, bit hit n miss and you usually have to just have what they have ie 2/3 seasons out of colour but you should be able to get 2150 for around 50 and kayanos for 80. also jjb instore would be less than 80. once you know what suits you. if you want online wiggle are usually ok or check out the links on the runners world website.

          I'm going here today:
Sorry, we couldn’t find that page

Should be good. Last time I went, one of the people I went with, his bike disintegrated.

Did almost 9 miles (most of it off road) today. Had only intended to do 35 mins, but felt good to just kept on taking detours

                Biking or running?

Got my new bike yesterday, (marin hydrolight) and took it for a spin down and through the local woods, 7.5 miles with plenty of uphill to work my legs. Not really far by biking standards, but sure does feel great to be doing something after 2 weeks off due to a pulled back core muscle

                God it sucks getting injured.

2 weeks, try going on 16 months and STILL waiting for an operation!

I am just desperate to get out this summer to cycle but it won't happen.

                    Running.

(turn on the hybrid option in the dropdown)

That marin looks nice. Quite radical geometry. Good in the twisties?

Well it seemed really good on whatever terrain i went on, roads, offroad up and down hills, through brooks and streams, gravel, twisting through trees.

To be honest, i have only just started riding bikes again since school, over 12 years ago now, so im not really sure i need such a good bike, but my best mate swapped me the bike (bearing in mind its £650 retail with and extra £300 of bits on) and £350 cash for my white 13inch macbook, so i got a bloody good deal on it. Seeing as fitness has become my main hobby really it seemed like a no brainier.

Just had a look at your route, nice run you got yourself there to the beach and back, bet its nice a quiet too. My running route is all round streets and tends to cris cross itself so i can increase it incrementally every month.

edit. @ rossco, sorry to hear about that buddy, sucks big time.

I met someone walking his dog..... And that's about it. A car did drive past me at one point with someone I know in it.

Rossco... what can you do for exercise?

Did my final run today after an aborted attempt yesterday when I felt like I had no power in my legs at all. Did just under 7 miles but got lost a bit and ended up running up all the hills I wanted to avoid
Rest now, apart from a little swim tomorrow, and then on Sunday it's the half-marathon. Starting to wish I had started my training a month earlier.

A bit late, but I would have said er.... 7 miles 2 days before crazy fool.

Well I can't run or cycle or do any cardio inthe gym other than the hand bike thing.

I can't do any weights where I need to stand as there's too much pressure on my legs then.

So not alot. I've lost almost 2 stone now since it happened as I just can't go to the gym and lift the same as normal. Altho to be fair, I haven't worked out for about 2 months now due to being overrun with uni work so I can't wait to get back into it in a few weeks when I'm done and start making some progress again.

                                Shakespeare Half-Marathon - done!
Well that was an interesting way to spend a Sunday morning. It was a lot hotter than on any other day I have been running and I struggled to be honest. I finished with a time 1hr 58mins so I am really happy to have been below 2hours, although I was hoping for 1 hr 50. My hips kill this morning and I was shattered when I got in. Think I will try the Nottingham Half Marathon in September now.
