I'm starting again on it now. Lots of weight to put back on too Dave so we can challenge each other!

I'm aiming for a stone in a month. Just bought hundreds of supplements this morning, and going to the shops after the gym to stock up on loads of protein enhanced foodtypes!

I've got two big tubs of some weak-ass looking **** compared to what I used to get back home, plus a carrier full of protein bars.

Lots of chicken and seafood to eat here, although it's mostly saturated in fat. Constructing a real diet is going to be the real challenge.

Had a decent week in terms of exercise. Did a couple of work outs, cycled 20 miles every day, swam one night and had a game of tennis. need to get back inot the running though. Plan on doing the Stratford half marathon again this year and will step up to sprint distance triathlon.

I may be doing this this year as part of my training. Don't normally race as part of my training plans but this fits fairly well. Also looking at the Wenlock Olympics its a great event although its a bit close to race day really.

I did the first part of some trials today on the effects of vitamin D on performance. Got my VO2 max tested which was 66.5 which is pretty good, although I sucked at the weight testing, pressing and lifting with my legs. My knees creaked so much that at one point we had to stop, you could hear it over the radio and it was quite off putting to say the least. Have to wait a month and try again to see if they improve.

Just recieved my wee York 20kg Dumbells Set.
I put a measly 0.5kg x2 on each (1kg) that felt stressfull enough well I jest, it felt just about the right weight to start, wasn't too uncomfy or too easy.
So has anyone got any pointers for little bit of muscle gain on arms and maybe chest/back?
I am not talking massive body work here, just need to add a bit of mass onto my arms mainly and be able to lift a bit more weight generally.
Any pointers would be appreciated cheers
Oh yeah and reading this thread make me feel weak level of dedication in this thread has to be admired.

              How you getting on mate?

6lbs since Saturday for me! Been every day doing heavy lifting and eating like a horse. Also got all my shakes and Creatine delivered today so I can go wild on that now. Even just guys from the gym talking about how big I used to be spurs me on now. I'm so excited!

FF, go on bodybuilding.com. I literally learned everything I know from there.

Cheers Rossco, looked on forum and need to get my head around all the lingo but it's looking good for advice. I started a wee bit today and I will keep at it.
My main issue could be diet as I am a veggie, I will need to read up more about this alongside suppliments/eatings, basically stuff to keep me going.
I am actually looking forward to this feels good to set a goal and start on it.

Went for my first proper run in years this morning. Feel like death now. My sides are killing me and my teeth won?t stop aching - not sure what that?s about. Hoping to get into a routine and keep this going through the week but I think I may have pushed myself too far; started getting that cold feeling before you puke on the way back. Thank god nobody saw me. That?s the one positive about running so early I guess. XD

lol good man. Suggest you wait for a few days and see how your legs are before doing any more.

Looks like a decent windbreaker. It's a shell, so will be wearing some nike running kit underneath. I'm guessing the reviewing customer didn't have a decent wiking base layer or didn't notice the massive under arm zippable vents on this thing.

I think you'd look great in this one matey - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...?ModelID=58765

Don't know much about veggie diet for training but I'm sure theres loads of info on the net about it.

I've toned down my eating last few days. 4,000 calories a day for 4 or 5 days was just horrific. It was too much and I felt sick and bloated constantly!

Had to take a day off today too, was just exhausted from going 9 days in a row. Stupid me not taking any rest.

you are the opposite to me I've done 700 calories for 5 days, dropped loads of weight, trained well all week, ran like a demon last night but today swam for a couple of K then did an hour on the turbo trainer which was just too much and I ended up with a massive headache only just going now after my dinner of 2 cereal bars half a bag of m&ms a family bag of crisps a load of pasta 2 scones jam and clotted creme 3 cans of beer and half a bottle of wine

Haha go out in style there!!!

Another few pounds up and down the last two weeks. It's been difficult since I pulled a muscle doing shrugs two weeks ago and been pretty much out the game since then for back, shoulder and bicep workouts.

Given me a chance to do some more cardio though. Off the bike and onto the cross trainer now which I'm loving. I feel it's actually doing my ankle good now. Not so sore during the day sitting at a desk since I've started doing work on it every night. Also doing full leg weights now which I feel is helping overall and my knee pain isn't as bad.

Got appointment with my surgeon and Physio tomorrow so see what they say. Suddenly it feels like process anyway when only a wee while ago I was all down in the dumps with it.

Nah, I had my mouth open gulping for air the entire time. XD

Fairly sure it was just extreme fatigue as I’ve been for a few runs since (again this morning) and my gums/teeth felt fine.

Might be time to get a routine down now that I’m over the initial ‘feel like crap every two steps’ feeling. I’m getting close to comfortably running 2 miles without stopping which seems like a good distance to plateau on.
